cutting diets

I've seen some guys go on diets that pretty much only consisted of
1. whey
2. olive oil
3. oats
It seems to cover all bases if you add a mineral and a multi sup.
What are your thoughts on a diet like this?
 
not enough variety for me.. i would question no veggies.. I think they are important when dieting..
 
After over a year off due to a rotator cuff reconstruction, i am back at it. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.


30-40 min cardio treadmill 3.5mph at 7% incline


Meal 1- (post cardio) Breakfast

6 egg whites 1 whole egg
1 scoop ON 100% whey

25mg ephedrine / 200mg caffeine

NOW Special Two Multivitamin
NOW Full Spectrum Minerals



Meal 2-

1 scoop ON 100% whey


Meal 3- Lunch

8oz baked chicken breast
1 cup broccoli

25mg ephedrine / 200mg caffeine

NOW Special Two Multivitamin
NOW Full Spectrum Minerals


Meal 4-

2 scoops ON 100% whey

WORKOUT
30 min cardio- treadmill 3.5mph at 7% incline



Meal 5- Dinner (post workout)

8oz 97% lean ground turkey, chicken, or fish
1 cup broccoli

Small salad with 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar and 2tbsp olive oil

Glutamine


Meal 6- (30-60 min before bed)

2 scoops ON 100% whey

3grams GABBA

I see nothing wrong with it if you use it for a brief time only... something like 4-8 weeks at the end of a diet.
 
You have to see the foods that work for you, i have seen people having horrible digestions with oats but continue to eat them because "you are suposed to eat oatts when you diet" then change oats for rice or even toast and feel a lot better and less bloated...
 
I would use either a casein protein or cottage cheese for your last meal at bed time,instead of the whey protein. Use a slow digesting protein to help stop your body from using muscle for fuel through out the night.
 
i contemplated changing the last meal before bed to 10 egg whites
