I train at a NYSC and did active yoga today....man. I am doing it cause my range of motion is so so short, I am all bound up and tight its a shame so I decided to do something abou tit. Well it is my 2nd class. Once a week for a hour.
Anyhow I thoght I was pretty strong but carrying your own bodweight on your arms really puts you to the test and holding the pushup position BURNS your tris. It is a hell of a workout, it seems it will really improve on your functional strength.
The strecthing was great. I am going to stick with it until I get results. Alot of guys wouldn't do the class cause they think they would look silly but I don't care about that at all. I am always looking for different ways to train to improve myself and this is one of them.
