Dieting On vs Off

For those of you who cycle (i.e. those who truly go 'off', no cruising or whatever) and are not doing a show, what do you with your dieting?

Personally, Id rather do a clean bulk and gain muscle if I were assisted and then go on a maintenance diet for 2-3 wks diet to give my body a break. Then diet shortly using a protein sparing modified fast followed by another 2-3 wk maintenance before attempting to add more mass. Since I would do short cycles (about 6-8 wks max), the timing works out nicely. Additionally, since Im not yet at my genetic limit, keeping the mass gains is/should-be doable.

What do you guys do? Do you maintain while off? Bulk? Cut?

i am completely off and start a keto diet on monday. looks terrible but this guy says i will be amazed with the results. my goal is to stay lean, maintain what muscle i have and hopefully add some new muscle.
 
i am usually clean bulking when off (which would be 6-7 months a year).
Normally i would start gear in March and start a cutting period which lasts about 3 months. After that i should have achieved a BF lvl i am satisfied with and continue to maintain that bodyfat while simultaniously add SOME muscle until i go into clean bulking once again. So i use gear mostly to maintain muscle and not to gain tremendous amounts off mass which i will most surley loose anyway after coming off.

My way of AAS use isnt a way to get enormous but on the other hand i am quite satisfied with how i look. ;)
 
I pick an ideal bodyweight and try to stick around it. For me it's about 220-225 lbs. It becomes easy to climb up from there, but trying to stay near that desired bodyweight forces me to eat cleaner or do my cardio. There is absolutely no reason to weigh anymore than that off cycle, my days of telling myself I'm making gains just because I'm getting fatter are long over. I'd rather be lean, able to breath, and be able to take my shirt off whenever without feeling embarassed
