PW football doesnt have a first place anymore, theyr all winners now. none is ever the worst team or the losing team. kids need to strive to be better than the rest. trick play or not, i think its genius. teaches kids and coaches to keep alert and awake at all times, not just when u think somethings going to happen.

Not where I coach football!!! If you're on a losing team around here in "little league", you never hear the end of it at school. Winning isn't everything...it's the only thing.

yeah, thats exactly what i think, moron. actually what i think is you teach the game with integrity. you line up across from the other guy and blow him off the line, you win by working harder, with honor, not by humiliating another team by tricking them with a cheap play. i bet you have no kids but you like to give advice on how kids should be raised. i dont believe in cheap wins, i dont believe in every one wins regardless of score but i believe that losing builds character.

why not use the brain before braun sometimes? ...there is other ways to win besides forcing your will upon the other team. you dont have any idea what was going on in that game. it could have been the last play for the win!!!!

a couple years ago boise state beat the hell out of oklahoma.......and they used 3 or 4 HUGE trick plays. you saying they didnt deseerve the win because they are a small school going up against a giant?

i do have a kid as well bud....planning on having another real soon......i posted a pic on this site if you want to look for it. its not nice to assume things about people........you should teach your kids that too.

I agree. T-Ball games where there's no kept score??? Dodge ball where you no longer get tagged out, you just switch sides??? Sports used to imitate life-do the job right and you are rewarded. This pussified thought process may cause less damage to the less athetic kid's psyche, but it doesn't prepare them for life as an adult in any way. This sense of entitlement the younger generation possesses will only hurt them in the long run. I'm glad I don't have kids.

i,m glad you dont have kids too. if you think keeping score in a 5 year old tee ball give is going to prepare them for life you are sadly mistaken. at this age, the object is to start teaching them the fundamentals, teamwork and to get them active. score should be kept at some point but it serves no purpose at this age. have you ever seen a 5-7 year old basketball game? i guess you think traveling should be called everytime at this age as well huh? well you would never finish a game because you would be blowing the whistle every 2 seconds. i really enjoy the parents and coaches on these teams that treat a pop warner game like the superbowl. most of the time it is the parent and coach trying to re-live some childhood thing. it is rarely about the child. it is important at this age to teach fundamentals, teamwork and that doing your best may not always win, but it is the most important thing, not giving up. they will get humiliated plenty in life, it doesnt need to start with an activity that is supposed to be fun.

I played defensive tackle and linebacker. We were taught to react at the snap of the ball and let the ref sort it out after. If we had done that during a game the coach would have kicked the entire defense's ass.

The ball was in play, plain and simple and the defense just stood there. The QB would have been dogmeat for me!! No whistle!!! PLAY ON!!
