that is an umbilical hernia that is just starting. Thats how mine started when I was just 19 years old. Eventually it should tear all the way. It sounds like right now that its so small that you cannot feel it. I finally had mine fixed when I was about 35 years old, so I had mine for about 16 years.

Its nothing to worry about now since its not big. My doctors told me that when I first got mine. Over the years as you keep stressing it, it will tear into a bigger opening. Eventually your peritoneum, the lining inside your abdomen, will push out through the opening. I was constantly pushing mine back in,lol.

Not really, if it hasnt torn all the way. I would say you have a weakness there though if you have that pain reoccur there multiple times. I know when I had my initial tear it felt like someone was burning in one tiny little spot. A kind of intense burning sensation, and it gets worse when you stretch it out.

When I first tore mine it hurt for about 2 days. Then about 1 year later I felt the small buldge. it started out about the size of a little green pea. Then like 17 years later it was about the size of a small grape. I got mine patched because it was starting to get ugly to look at and i didnt want it to grow larger. I also developed 2 inguinal hernias, so I had them all patched at the same time. Whew was I in pain after that surgery, but it was worth it.

If you cannot feel any small buldge where your "guts" are protruding then there really isnt anything to do right now. Just hope that it doesn get bigger. I think I tore mine doing deadlifts but im not sure. I would always wear a belt doing certain movements if I were you.
