Surprised to see The Washington Post covering this, but I'm very glad. A housecleaning of the lifers in the NPC and IFBB is so badly needed to make those organizations into what they really should be and I hope this is the first step.

Well, I read the whole article and there is nothing in there shocking.

As Goob pointed out, one claimant is of questionable character seemed she felt entitled to a pro card, despite not having the quality, and another woman won the 2008 figure Olympia despite not favoring JM. Other women seemed shocked they didn't win pro cards right away. This is more a fault of the delusional state of today's industry where pro cards haven't much actual value and some feel they deserve one when they clearly do not. There is a lot of he said, she said.

But is bodybuilding overall exploitative? Hell yes. Anyone even thinking of competing either knows that or is woefully ignorant. Seems George Butler's son was looking for some hype by sensationalizing something all competitors have known for decades and should surprise no one.

Can’t view the social media breakdown since I’m not on any social media. I did watch the article video. If it’s true the some women are being coerced into posing nude to advance. That’s not right at all. I mean you can see allllll you need when they’re on stage in a tiny thong bikini.

But I’m getting one side of the story. I’d need to hear more before drawing any conclusions.
