Non competing. Had to start working out due to disc herniations and the need to build core strength. Didn't think I'd enjoy weight training as much as I did. Was a mainly just into cardio.
I'm hoping that bringing it up another 300 calories a day will jump start weight gain. I'd have thought that even with a 'dirty' diet in surplus I'd be growing quicker than i am. Maybe the 5-10 miles a day walked at work has some bearing? That plus the caffeine?
I'll update this thread end of next month with a weight update. So far today 1088 calories, 2735 left. Going to be high carb lunch - rice and veg.
I'm going to need to remove bacon and sausage soon as I'm getting too much fat in the mornings which makes the rest of the day trickier.
