Fixing SIBO/leaky gut

Hi all,

Currently I’m fixing my gut. I have/had a lot of problems with my gut, bloating and distention. Never had insulin resistance or anything like that.

Things I did:
- Drop cialis
- Drop tren/orals
- lots of glutamine
- Add cinnamon, curcumin, probiotics.

Now I have read a few times people advice to drop GH, why is that? If there is insulin resistance I can see the reasoning.

Thanks, any other tips/advice are welcome as well :).
 
Drink a Knox gelatin packet daily. No clue of the science behind it, but I swear along with glutamine it fixed mine.
 
If you do have leaky gut get GI revive by Designs for Health. We fix leaky gut all the time with that in our practice.

Good start. You need to understand what you truly have or else there are a million remedies. Take a GMAT stool test for possible bacteria or candida overgrowth. Then take a food sensitivity test to understand what foods “light up your guy” so you can best avoid them until you heal. Cyrex is the gold standard. From there you should talk to a functional doctor about what protocol and supplements to use. It could be as simple as oregano oil and caprylic acid. So much marketing crap out there these days for “gut health”.
 
Are your sure you have SIBO??
If so do yourself a favor and just run a course of antibiotics.

If ypu don't wanna do that then Neem and oregano oil work prewell and an antibiotic for the gut as well.

Run a strait ketogenic diet for a couple weeks as well so you are starving the bacteria as well as trying to "poison" it.
 
the advice I can give

-Good probiotic supplement
-Limit fiber (most don't realize it but by already taking 100g of oats + + fruit or vegetables you are taking in too much and if you have an inflamed colon the situation gets worse)
therefore try replacing sources of fiber with classic rice or rice cream
-completely eliminate coffee or caffeine in general
-use digestive enzymes, OX Bile, turmeric, cinnamon

final advice that I invite you to try (valid if you are on a 3000/4000kcal diet, beyond which it could be unsustainable), divide the meals into 4 meals a day, and leave approximately 4 hours to pass between one meal to the next to allow the body to break down and digest ingested food

I second this. Oregano oil is a great natural antimicrobial. I’ve seen successful fixing of SIBO cases just with that and a couple other antimicrobial supplements, then repopulating the gut with simply a quality diet and perhaps some probiotics after multiple times among friends.

What’s a ‘good’ probiotic in your opinion? So many to chose from.

How much did you take of Oregano oil? And what were the other antimicrobial supps?

Can you explain this a little more?

My gf takes fish collagen for her skin, maybe I have to rob her lol.
collagen is a major benefit for healing leaky gut and other organs, i want to say my family has had better experience with collagen (4 blend) than with glutamine on and off for years , like since 90s.

No insulin resistance, actually my blood glucose levels are outstanding(better then ever).

Yes for SIBO, not officialy for leaky gut but they go hand in hand I believe.

Never done a dexa, but I got visible abs(not ripped tho, like 12%).
