I'm just wondering if there are certain stretches that you guys do for flexibilty. I'm not talking about the standard ones that we do throughout training, more the ones that could actually increase flexibility to the point where it would aid in other sports (golf, and yes I am still trying to learn to play this fucking game) or even help further our training.

I've tried everything from standard run of the mill stretches all the way through to PNF but had no success in increasing it to the point where its anything to talk about.

I'm not even gonna get into bashing the shit out of golf being a "Sport" , like Nascar drivers are "athletes"

anyway , streching is streching , its just somthing that takes time to improve and takes a good bit to force to make the body accept it , you have to force the muscle to strech and basicaly tear to a point. Becoming limber is alot easier if you start at a younger age before their is so much muscle that it makes it harder.

Just stick with and force yourself to reach a point then go a little farther and hold that , then relax and repeat.

Thats what I've been doing. The stick and move further part is PNF but it doesnt seem to be doing anything. I had a talk with someone earlier on who said i might look at sports massage then continuing with the stretching.

although i'm no major golf fan and wouldnt defend it over bodybuilding, i only do it for business, but just to mention it is still a sport by definition as its an activity involving both physical exertion and competition.

like you say though, I dont know about the nascar athlete thing.

yes.....the dc stretches

shelby has posted some demos before maybe you can search

awesome just found it.

cheers tkav and tenny

Yoga is great. You have to actually go to one of the classes though. Actually go to several, and you will stretch muscles you never knew you had. You cant really do it from a dvd or internt though, a class is a must. Plus, there's usually some good scenery and it gives you an excuse to flex and stretch in front of hot chicks.

If you want to stretch, and improve flexibility, there is simply no substitute to Yoga.
