Thoughts on transfer to raw bench press power? Im weakest probably 6-10 inches off chest...would this help that range?


Also,...Can it be done after reg. bench or separate day? I do NOT do WSB, dont' find it particurly helpful.

Lastly, can floor press be done without supports? and Just directly off floor, obviously that floor would be tough, sort of like DL ...in that...its deadwt ...

Im not sure my gym as supports that can be reversed...

floor presses are similar to box squats in that it is overcoming dead weight and builds explosive starting strength. In other words, this will help ur explosion off ur chest. the faster the bar comes off ur chest, the easier it is to push thru sticking points to lockout. so yes they will help.

they are fine to add after benching, but u will already be tired. when i did them i alternated flat bench with floor presses each week and do incline bench for my next exercise.

i have also had good results in doing both on the same day, and doing one for higher reps after doing the other heavy.
