any time i clean up my diet i always start to get cramps sometimes in my hands sometimes my feet i've read every post on this and tried everything.i always keeped my sodium levels high but i think because of sweating from training and cardio plus tanning causes this to happen.it seems that plain water causes me to go to the bathroom so much that i loose all my electrolytes and the water does stay in me to hydrate my body.yesterday i drank gatorade mixed 50% gatorade 50% water and for the first time i didn't get cramps and my body didn't run to the bathroom after drinking just plain water.i drank about 1.5 gallons of this and felf great at night time.today i did the same and got the same results now my question is how do i go about cutting should i keep it in if it fixed my problem and just count it in my carbs.i read a article that stated plain water dosn't really hydrate you that good because it doesn't replace electrolyltes any htoughts

You must keep it in and count it as your carbs.
 
Not that this has anything to do with it but I just came from the Denstist and she said I should drink as much gatorade. There's more acid in it than you think and can ruin the enamel on your teeth. Idon't even drink that much. After this I went to my buddies house, which is a doctor and asked him about this. His response was to always mix it 50/50 with H2O. Thought I'd share this so no one has problems at the dentist on there next visit.

My dentist told me the same thing. Most liquids will erode teeth overtime, I just use a straw whenever possible.
 
My father is a dentist and just told me that yes this is true with gatorade, but not nearly as bad as Soda. The worst is chewy candy, like twizlers,charlston chew, laffy taffy,etc....
 
Do diet sodas contain much of this acid too ?

Yes they do, but don't contain sugar that rots your teeth. So they are better than reg soda but still not the best.

dammit thats it!...for the last 2-3 months ive been working out 2 workouts in a row i down only 2 gatorades inbetween and my teeth have been hurting like hell!!! i could not chew food properly and it really messed with my workouts...

seriously bro thanks for the info i would have never guessed it was the gatorade!...alex
 
Are you used to drinking a lot of water? Once your body gets used to drinking a lot of water you shouldn't be pissing all the time. If you are pissing all the time no matter what go to your doc and get checked out. Excessive urination is actually a sign of diabetes
