Current thought/trend in the medical community is to avoid GH prior to any "event" which is traditionally understood to coincide with endogenous secretion. This includes prior to intense physical activity (pre-workout) and h.s. (hour of sleep). In reality, I honestly don't think it will make any difference whatsoever in terms of real world efficacy. That is not to say that the above logic is not sound, but more of an idictment on the fact that GH is inherently not an extremely efficous compound to begin with.
