gonna try insusin for first time

I have a 100ius of novolin-r. I was thinking of doing 5ius with 50gms of protien and 50gms of grape juice directly after post work out.How long do i stay on insulin for.thanks

I wouldnt use grape juice as your carb personally. As far as duration, do a bit of searching. theres a lot of info on her about slin usage and you really want to make sure you know what your doing before you start

I agree. Be careful. I use it in offseason. It's no joke. I would get some Glycofuse or Karrbolyn. I am a paramedic and deal with diabetics all the time. Juice only lasts a few minutes. If you get to it in time. Definitely find a better carb source. And make sure you eat 45-60 min later. A good clean meal

Any carb is fine, 5iu is good. Do it post work out after eating 50g real protein, 50g real carb. Rice, potato, whatever. Fats stabilize it well but can make u add chub

I agree. Slin is very safe imo, as long as you thoroughly do your research.

Personally i like karboload, but I would at least use something like dextrose or maltodextrin. Even gatorade would be better
