good gym bag?

Where can I find a good gym bag? Seems like by now I would have found the perfect one, but I've had issues with the last few (discontinued, ripped apart too easily, etc.) but I'll be carrying one around more now.......Fairly large (minimum 18" X 12" X12", but up to 50% bigger is great), durable, enough pockets, not plastered with supplement or clothing company names all over it.....any suggestions? Thanks!

I would just grab a duffel bag that seems durable. I rock one made by Puma that I love. Try looking at Dick's or Academy.

I use a Nike Duffel bag - picked it up for like $16 on sale a the outlet, fits everything i need - Change of clothes, shoes, straps, and I put my protein and supplements in containers for the day.

I too went through the gymbag dance too. The company Delsey that makes light weight luggage has some pretty good carry-on sized bags that function very well as gym bags. However, when I needed to put shower supplies, shoes, belt, etc.. it became too small. I looked at everything before I decided on OGIO. They make a bag that has a compartment that works as a cooler, a compartment that stores wet clothes, and typical compartments for phone, wallet, etc. Its awesome. I believe its called OGIO Surfbus. Try bagsforless.com or amazon. Good luck.

I have always used a Nike bag that I carry my life in- credit cards, license, straps, DC log, everything- and I carry it to work when I'm wearing my suit- looks funny but I hate switching crap between briefcase and gym bag.

But I just saw a cool leather gym bag at House of Pain I may pick up- it may (or may not) look a little better with a Hugo Boss suit

House of Pain bags

I have been using the medium-sized bags from House of Pain, and I am on my second one...if I put too much stuff in in it, it tears along the side under the zipper. I tried not to overload this second bag, but it is starting to rip too. I assume the leather bag mentioned above would not do this, but just wanted to let you know my experience with HOP bags.

BTW, the reason I started this thread is that I have a new trainer job straight after my day job, and so I anticipate having to carry "my life" in a bag on some days, all day long...

I bought a really nice back pack made by under armor. Its great, holds everything i need for the gym and is easy to carry either by hand or by the padded shoulder straps.

I just ordered the Ogio Crunch Bag linked below. It looks good. I found the surfbus one also mentioned, but that one seems too intense....geared toward wet surfing gear, etc.

I ALSO ordered the Axis labs one linked above....nice design, and can't go wrong since the proceeds go to charity.

I'll look around when I am in the big sports store this weekend....between ALL of these, I should find one I like.

I'm in the market for a new bag too. I tear through them. I commute into NYC for work. Always lugging a ton of stuff with me and the bags are either tearing open or the strap is ripping off. Thanks all the good links.

For years I just used one from netrition.com. You got them at a really low price if you ordered enough supps. Even though they sound like cheap "freebies", they really lasted and did the job. But I don't think they make them anymore.
