Was walking down the street when I hear from behind something along the lines of (a lot gets lost in translation) "Look at this tough guy..all muscles".

Now, I really don't like taking shit, so I turn around, and not two steps behind me are this guy and his little kid, a little daughter, maybe 5 or 6. This simply made me stand there for a second, and at the same time the guy punched me and caught me on the button.

Good punch, but not something I couldn't have taken if I hadn't been looking at the kid and not much else. Now, I don't mind getting punched, I get punched every day in training. But I'm still wondering what this fuck-head was doing talking trash with his little girl after him, and starting trouble to top it.

I scrambled, got on my feet and backed away, dizzy but perfectly ok. I would have fucked him up real good hadn't it been for the kid.

Thing is, I always step in when something's happening and a kid is involved, partly due to all of the shit stupid people did around me and my folks when I was a kid (worst example is getting jumped by a rottweiler and the owner telling my folks while it was happening that there's no need to worry, the dog will stop by himself). It was a weird situation for me to be assaulted by this girl's father. These people should be gathered up and forced to live with each other.

I train mixed martial arts so if I want to I can fuck someone up.. but I don't do it just cause someones beig a jerk off.. of all the things I didn't expect this being called fishy.

I train MMA, I had no problem getting up and away, and of course the guy was calling names and laughing, it was my choice not to re-engage a fight.

Not sure what is the best for the kids, (only important thing here).
If not for the kids i would hope you'd hurt the guy badly enough that he'd never raise a hand to anyone again.

At the moment I an thinking you should have taking him done hard and torqued him into a apology, forcing him to tell the kids that what he had just done was a mistake and that he is very very sorry. And that he'd never do it again.
Walking away may have been the worst thing to do. The young boy will grow up doing the same stupid shit. And the little girl; beliving her father to be a role lmodel will probably end up a crack whore, who accepts regular beatings from lmen like her father.
Actually,this jerk is no father at all and should have been beating so severely that he'd neve completely recover. Total humiliation and long term rehab. Let the state take the kid's. The trailer they aare living in is probably a shit hole anyways.

i had a similar thing happen about 4yrs ago...while i was on trial for assault 1 no less...except i didnt get knocked down..

i had the guy arrested in front of his son. and kept telling them how daddy was gonna get fucked in the ass and all this other shit...i did feel bad about this however it was a lot better than what i had done a few months earlier to the last person the fucked with me and got me into trouble.

i had the kid crying and so was the dad...it was great...he was crying and saying how he didnt have money for a lawyer and he was gonna hunt me down and kill me for doing this to him...lol...how could i do this to him...etc... it was truly amazing how one second a guy attacks me and the next second he is blamin me for what happened cuz of his lack of self control..

even the cops were laughing at the guy and the shit i was saying...

The amount of people saying that what happened is "fishy" is amazing.

The only reason I posted this here is that just last week I posted a link to some videos of british kids punching people on the street. When the shit with this guy and his daughter happened, it related in my mind to that so I posted here.

To recap, I am an MMA fighter, I could have easily finished him, I chose not to. As for those who find it improbable to get punched on the street, all I can say is that I'm happy you've had lives that were free of violence. Things much worse than this happened to me, and the only reason I ever though of discussing getting punched on the street is because of the little girl.

So please, if anyone has a smart-ass comment, take a few walks, open your eyes, and spot the shit that happens everywhere.

As for calling the cops, frankly, I have little time to waste with such things. The guy deserved a beating, actually, in a more hassle-free world I should have just killed him. What he didn;'t deserve was any more of my time.
