And this time I think they will suffer a backlash. These are three of the imbeciles who are radical anti-steroid yahoos, trying to pass the law to make steroid laws tougher (!) and ban prohormones - bill HRxx (forgot the actual number assigned by Congress). This time they have gone too far warning baseball to get tough on steroids "or else". When I first heard about this on the radio today, the talk show guys were slamming the attempted intervention of these govt Representitaves-and so were all the people calling up. First off, let baseball regulate itself and how dare some fat old govt official make threats to impose their adgenda! Both the Players Union, and possibly the Baseball officials, will object to this. But as you see Selig is cowering to it, saying baseball supports the 'prohormone' law. Who the fuck is baseball (or any other sports body) to decide what is or isnt general law...although thats exactly what has made these disgraceful laws from the start.
Hopefully this will backfire in our favor. Its ulmost unbelievable what a hysteria this steroid issue has become, all the while no true, real scientific facts are discussed.
This country is a sad, sad mess-at least as far as this issue goes (just for starters).
