I have always heard that gyno CANNOT come back after the mammory glands are removed, but one of my really good friends swears that he got the surgery and then it came back!!! Is he confused??? Is there ANY POSSIBLE way for gyno to come back after the surgery? I would be pissed off tremendously if i paid all that money and it came back

Thanks,
RONJON

OK

What happened is he had a surgeon that only "Thinned out" the glands, he did not remove them. And this is common, the reason being if you remove the entire gland, and the patient has a thicker layer of fat, or the potential for having fatty tissue around the area you will be left with pocket, or divot where the gland was, not something you want.

When I had mine done the Doc took out as much of the gland as he could find, THEN thinned out the fat in the surrounding area, but I was lucky because I didn't have much potential to be fat in the lower chest area, then he grafted fat back into the pocket left from the gland removal.

I wouldn't call the problem that your friend has the result of a botched surgery (It's common), but the result of a surgeon not looking into the future (Meaning your friends continued hormone usage I assume), or maybe doing a "Textbook" job, that doesn't include the steps my Doc took.

Also my Doc installed "Drain tubes" that came out of my chest that remained during the first week of recovery. And I am drawing an inference here but the other two people who I know (And seen before/after) that had the same procedure but didn't have drains, it took longer for their chest to "Look" recovered, and the nips had a remaining puffy look (Stretched/pointy), where as mine healed small, flat and tight to the muscle.

Hope this info helps. :)

yes that does help alot!!! Please explain how the drain tubes worked bro???...do they have to be taken out or how does that work exactly??? ANd I know that if i got the surgery I would do alot more AAS that cause gyno so would I just be like "doc I am going to continue AAS so be sure to take the gland out?" ...and if it comes back do you think you could go back and get him to fix it???

Thanks so much brutha...good to hear from someone with experience in the area

I had mine removed in 1991, best thing ever. I did have a few friends then that had them return with their continued use but I had mine done by a good doctor and they still look great...lots of test and no anti E's. I remember I had a hemotoma in one that made one look real puffy and then it open up and all the jelly like blood oozed out, it was gross but then it healed up nicely.
Again if they leave too much of the mammary gland in it can come back, make it a point to discuss your concerns with the doctor and find a good one that has references in the BB world as it is an expensive operation and I believe is not covered by most insurances anymore.

The drains were inserted, or I should say stitched in at the end on the line of incision. They were clear, small, flexible PVC tubes a little bigger than an 18g needle. They both hung down about 10 inches at the end were a pair of 18g pins that were inserted into a "Vacutainer" I may have spelled that wrong, it's basically a vacuum tube like what's used when drawing blood, except they were full size test tubes.

I had to tape the not to comfortable pair of tubes on my abs then re wrap my upper torso with a wide compression bandage (CONSISTANT COMP BANDAGE USE IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR GOOD HEALING AND A GOOD LOOKING RESULT).

Upeccmi I am glad yours came out well and 1 of my friends I spoke of had the build up of "Jelly blood" too , but it was OK.

Oh an Alin I looked up my old bills, I had my procedure done in 1994 and it was $2280.00.

Wow $2200, that's a bargain!
I know I am in NJ where everything is expensive but in 1991 I beleive it was around $4800, now this was a plastic surgeon and a good one. My insurance paid 80% so my out of pocket was around $900. I remember the compression bandages too it did help. I am happy I had it done even though mine weren't real bad but you could see them especially when dieted down for a competition. I never had to sorry again.
