Have you ever injured your coccyx?
The true proverbial PAIN IN THE ASS .
coccyx=tail bone
I don't have a single clue as to how I injured mine , but it is killing me .
Went to the doc yesterday and no broken bones .
I cant sit , stand , roll over bend over get up from a seated position ect..ect.. without screaming like a little girl . ( I know what you gonna say about that so don't!)

What I don't seem to get is the the sick laughter I get from ever one around me.

The guys finished working out yesterday and asked me to go in there and show them something . I refused over and over again , but I got up and screamed and they all started laughing .
Why you may ask did they want me! My son had a bet with the others that he could make me scream without touching me.

I made the Mofos get out and took away their keys.
This is not a fucking thing to be laughing the fuck about .
I've been in pain level from 1-10 at a 7 to 10 plus since Friday.
I'm had many a bad injury , but with this you can't even pass gas with out pain .
And it is not just them that for some sick reason that thinks its funny
But the future looks bright.
The doc gave me Methylprednislone pac and some Valium .
Within six hours after taking the steroid I had abouy 65% reduction in pain.
I was totally amazed how quick it worked.
What a pain in the ass this has been.
I wouldn'd even wish this on my enemies.
 
Never personally but, I had a friend land on a snow covered stump while downhill skiing. He broke his and was in quite a bit of pain. I remember he was at school with a donut to sit on and heavily doped up for quite some time. Maybe try the donut...

If I am not mistaken that is why Uncle Rico stayed with Napolean and his 32 year old brother Kip, cause his Grandmother broke her COCCYX riding an ATV!!!!!!! :D
 
Sorry to hear about that. I know what you are going through.

I have broke mine twice, once in the 4th grade jumping my bike on a home made ramp that the neighbor kids built, that was a fun memory, and I broke it a second time just a few years ago. I have broke 17 bones total.

Anyway, it just takes time to heal. Sneezing and coughing hurt like hell, but in a few weeks youll be back to normal.
 
Ive strained ligament that connect it to the sacrum, at least that what I think happend. It took me about 3 weeks or more to heal it up. Hurt like a mofo for sure. Like you said, just cutting a fart can make you want to cry. Im sure yours is even worse if you think its broken. Maybe youre like me though and just strained the ligaments? Like how people sprain their ankle.

yeah i knew a girl that injured hers a few years back..i know the injury to her
coxix bothered her for quite some time..

The Xray said no break , so I think your correct

Yeah, that is my guess what happens. It will take maybe 3 weeks to totally clear up. I of course didnt stop lifting, so it probably healed slower. If I had to guess what did it, it would have to be either deadlifts or squats or a combo of the two.

It's quite common on leg press.........lifting your ass off the pad and bending upwards like a reverse sit up MID PUSH..........keep your back flat! Do not bring the legs too far back...........only 1/2 way down

Wow, yeah. I think thats a better explaination. I might have very well been doing heavy leg presses. At times I used to try to bring the platform as low as I could so as to get a greater ROM, but when you go too low your ass does lift up off of the pad. I hurt my lower back 2 times doing that.
 
Yep! I "disslocated" mine walking accross a big moss covered log while turkey hunting. I lost my footing and one foot slipped on each side of the log I leaned back to try to catch myself and landed square on my tailbone.
The dr. said it would have been worse , several degrees or so forward it would have broke my pelvis and probably given me a back injury.
Apparently i just broke the bone loose from the cartlige that hold it together so they called it a disslocation , it damn sure felt broke to me

it hurt for months , I had to use a donut for a several weeks. I remember that doing heavy flat bench presses would hurt to , when you arch your lower back i guess it puts alot of strain and pressure on it.

LOL , I've always been real big on doing deep squats and deep leg presses , after some reading here and seeing some conviencing pics I've just been doing half squats (right to paralel) , yesterday I did one leg leg presses this way and I can hardly walk today.
Maybe theirs somthing to the les range of motion thing!

Something strange I can do

At times that joint will hurt on me,especially when I get up in the morning. If I stand up and really contract my glutes as hard as I can I will hear a popping sound , I can feel it move too. Once it pops into place, I feel fine. If youre brave, try to pop yours back in. Sometimes when its hurt really had you cant becuase it hurts too bad., but if you wait awhile later on youll be able to.
 
Touch it is far from what I wanna do now !
It hurts to blow dry it after a shower ,can't use a towel , but its tons better than yesterday
 
It took a year!

I boke mine back in high school and it took a year for it to heal. Sorry bro I hope you have better luck with yours.
