I have the same issue. I can breathe fine...but its stuck in there and swallowing isn't an option. If I try to drink water it comes right up. Strangely, this mostly happens to me when eating rice.

Yeah, I had endoscopy done and he called it eosinophilic esophagitis. Im not sure what caused mine, but I think I have narrowed it down to two things: putting on bodyfat and drinking too much wine. Alcohol can make it worse, and putting on fat around your waist puts more pressure on the area I think. Ive slimmed down some and cut back on wine and it is better now. I do take Prilosec though. Im hoping that as I continue to slim down more that it will go away. I didn't have this when I was fit, before the heart attack.


Im sure the causes can be many though. Thought I would just mention my case.

Well, it is an aerobic bacteria so maybe it is the CO2 given off as a byproduct of respiration? Just a wild guess. Its probably due to several factors though.

Thanks for the knowledge guys since this isn't something I've known much about before getting the endoscopy. I was such a happy chatterbox when I was woken up from the anesthesia lol.

I've been reading up on some articles for how to treat H Pylori if that's indeed what I have. At least if I do test positive, I know how to treat/cure it. I've read the antibiotic isn't always a slam dunk though. I wonder if this is all related to these bad brain attacks/freezes I've been getting (getting an EEG for that Monday morning).

I am waiting for blood test results that can also detect H Pylori or other infections of this nature that I should find out early next week. Even have a comprehensive stool test going on (gross) that I'll get analysis of in a few weeks.

In the meantime, I will be starting keto today (still keeping protein high though) to see if that can help these problems i'm having that's ruining my summer. Sucks I focus so much on taking the right supps and protecting my heart and then this still happens. Even with really good bloodwork, shit like this still can happen apparently. At least I know my heart is in solid shape and these issues are not of cardiovascular nature.
