I have the same issue. I can breathe fine...but its stuck in there and swallowing isn't an option. If I try to drink water it comes right up. Strangely, this mostly happens to me when eating rice.
Yeah, I had endoscopy done and he called it eosinophilic esophagitis. Im not sure what caused mine, but I think I have narrowed it down to two things: putting on bodyfat and drinking too much wine. Alcohol can make it worse, and putting on fat around your waist puts more pressure on the area I think. Ive slimmed down some and cut back on wine and it is better now. I do take Prilosec though. Im hoping that as I continue to slim down more that it will go away. I didn't have this when I was fit, before the heart attack.
Im sure the causes can be many though. Thought I would just mention my case.
