I'm 23 y/o 5'9" and 188lbs. Been working out for almost 4 years and at the moment still natural. These two shots were taken within the past 3 days. Please look past my body hair, I'm a part time model and getting ready to shoot at the end of the month. Photographer I'm working with wants to do something scruffy looking. I will be groomed as needed prior to shooting. I aim to switch more to fitness modeling and by the end of 2013, competing on stage.

To what I see, lats seem to be my biggest issue right now. The past few weeks, I've been learning the RIGHT way to train. I simply wasn't pushing myself hard enough. Regardless, everything seems to be doing well. I appreciate all critiques and comments.

Thanks Queefer. I agree on the hair. I absolutely hate body hair for this reason. Fortunately, it's for a two day shoot and will be able to shave for the second day. Right now this is the leanest I've been.
 
Shooting is done and I'm pleased with how the photos look. I didn't come in as shredded as I would have liked. (First pic taken last night) But considering what I accomplished in 12 weeks (Second pic taken Aug 21), I'm rather pleased with it. Looking forward to get back to bulking, but more cleanly this time.

In my opinion, I think lats and lower torso are my weak points. Maybe the upper chest as well. What do you guys think need work on the most?

Current: 180lbs
Sept 9: 238lbs.

Overall I would just say a little size everywhere, nothing from those pics sticks out as glaring weaknesses
 
youve definately leaned out well. I would say that adding more width to your lats would make your lower torso look a little stronger. If youre trying to get into bodybuilding, i think what makes us stand out from physique is the huge back. how are your legs looking?
 
The first thing I noticed is you still need to get a lot leaner to even compete in fitness. Guys are very lean even in that, but you did make good leaps.
 
good base for a natty, need to get more ripped in order to compete...
 
Thanks guys. I know I have to get a lot leaner when I compete. I didn't realize how far off I had gotten during my last bulk until it was already too late. lol

I've been on the fence if I really want to go back to bulking or if I want to continue leaning out for another 4 weeks or so. I don't plan on competing earlier than next fall.

My lats have always been my weak point. However, I started doing pull ups every day and that's finally struck some growth in them. I'll post a leg shot tomorrow. They are my favorite by far.
 
If you got another year before u compete then keep building mass, then cut. U have a good base to start with though.
 
I appreciate the input. Here's the leg photo I promised the other day. In the process of moving and last roommate took the full body mirror with him. I'll take a better shot when I get settled into the new place and get a full body mirror of my own.
