House searched

My mothers house was searched and they found my gear. they left it behind and didn't take anything of that nature but the warrent was only for audio video, photo's, cameras, disc's, recording devices, computers.....ect. why wouldn't they collect on my stuff and me? obveously i have cleaned house to the ut most. i moved out to an unregisterd town home. i think this is a one and a million chance that they didn't take my gear and myself. the old house phone is tapped, as my brothers attorney has noted. we all lived together in order to get on our feet again as i was laid of and my brother had a kid with his bitch of a wife.she moved to pueblo and came to jefferson to file child porn against my brother because he is trying to get full custody of him. obviously they didn't find anything.

I'm no lawyer, but I would asume warrants are very precise in what they are looking for. Unless it's a dead body they find while searching, they don't want the extra paperwork. But I think if they are looking for crayons and they find pencils, the warrant was strictly for crayons. And need to come back with a warrant now for pencils. I however would consider myslef really lucky and keep the house clean for a long time to come.

warrants are specific as to what areas can be searched (and even then its fairly liberal) but they aren't specific as to what they are looking for per se ... if they have a warrant to search your house because of an illegal weapon and they find drugs they can take the drugs in as evidence and arrest you for it

if they came looking for porn or the things you had listed it would be a different law enforcement agency that oversees the operation/bust

--more than likely the agency wasnt the DEA or ATF so if a bunch of computer/internet porn guys find anabolics somewhere where they didnt find what they were looking for, more than likely they dont know enough about it to do anything or even identify what it is

Actually warrents are extremely precise. Right across the top of them the type exactly what it is that they are looking for. Granted, if there looking for Coke and find Meth they can do something about it. You my friend got lucky, primarily since they weren't looking for it. I also bet that they had a hardon to find something against your brother, so when looking through your stuff it was less than thuro

my dad is a lawyer so I have learned lot of law stuff from him

any way if they wanted to press charges for the gear all they would have done is called in a new warrent for search and then waited for it to go through so the ammount was prob not very big or they just didnt care now if it was meth or something it might have been called in.

They would have had to fill out so much paperwork for so little of stuff that it would not be worth their time...if they found a pound of weed or some coke, then you bet your butt they would be coming back...

Exactly.. they were looking for child porn and anabolic steroids... not very popular in the public eye or the evening news.... You got beyond lucky my friend, all the senior investigator had to do was make a call to a judge and explain that..

" in the course of their investigation they found Anabolic Steroids" and if he would "issue and sign a warrent to the consent of a search and seizeure of any and all propertie(s) in the investigation of the premises afiliated to but not restricted to the original warrent. Any and all future findings will subject to seizure and parties involved with knowing or unknowing knowledge will be detained, questioned and/or arrest"

I am not sure mate how much gear they saw or found but it was not your time but be assured your name and addy will be watched for a while.. sounds like they did not want to do paper work but also they can watch you to see who the bigger fish is... i would sit low and not buy or sell any juice for atleast 6 months..Good luck

depending on how long ago this happened, they could be working up a new warrant as we speak. get your gear outta there, find a very safe place for it, and don't order for a while. your name and your address may flagged.

They don't need a seperate warrant to take the juice. When executing a search warrant the warrant specifies what they are searching for and where they are going to look. For instance if they are looking a shotgun used in a crime they can't look in your jewelry box. But they can look in your closet and if they happen to see steriods in there well they can arrest you.

In the execution of the search if they come across something illegal even if not in the warrant they can take it into evidence and arrest you on that evidence.
