after seeing the great thread in the photo section, i decided to put up a poll..

now all you guys that are against hunting, vote, and state your point. cause after all, you are eating meat,, and guys.. MEAT COMES FROM ANIMALS...

seriously. if you guys that are soo against hunting have such a problem with it, then stop eating chicken, fish, beef, and everything else that is a MEAT...

i am an AVID waterfowler, and i EAT EVERY POUND of meat i kill...

i ate 6 quail tonite.. they were great.. i HUNTED FOR THEM, and i ATE them. and i didnt PAY A DIME FOR THEM...

what do you all think..

honestly it doesnt matter to me. hunt if you want to. i never have...but thats just because...well i havent

its not a big deal...especially if you eat all of you kills. that makes it better in many peoples eyes.

honestly...id like to try quail or deer...i think itd be interesting

but in no way do i feel its "horrible" or that people who hunt are "evil"

ive been huntin since i was 6 years old and started hunting and shooting on my own at age 13, i love the sport and yes i do eat all i kill

deer meat is by far my fav meat and i have a SHIT LOAD of it!

When I was a boy growing up in texas my dad used to take my brother and me Deer Hunting. I enjoyed it and we ate what we killed. Now from a BBing perspective game meat is usually leaner and higher in proteins than farmed livestock. We eat kangaroo meat here and it is very high in protein and low in fat. Good post!!

what alot of people dont realize

is that most NATURAL MEAT is HIGHER IN PROTEIN, and also, has NO PRESERVATIVES OR ANYTHING IN IT... its pure... CAN I SAY THAT AGAIN.. ITS PURE!!!!

yea... the Quail is freakin great.. some good ole wild rice, some quail marinated in some great mix that i make up, and a good ole salad... its way better for you....

i eat more duck that you can imagine.. its good.. dark, and above all, its FREE, and i KILLED it, and also, ITS CLEAN!!! NO PRESERVATIVES!!!!

i can say i was really disappointed in that thread in the photo section.. there was no need to go on a anti hunting tirade as some of ya did.. he posted his hunting pics.. if ya dont like hunting dont look at the thread.. simple..
i dont hunt.. just cant bring myself to do it.. so i sympathize.. but, have nothing against those that do and certainly will not bash those that like that pasttime..my dad hunted and everyone in this part of the country just about does.. remember .. if ya dont like the thread.. dont click on it.. especially when he said it was "a hunting thread and if ya dont like it go on to a different thread"..

I have hunted all my life, its the first really great memory I have with my father of which there are hundreds. I hunted later in life with my close friends and brothers. I still like to hunt whenever I can but its hard to find the time. For me hunting and the gun's were passed down from generation to generation.

I was tought as a child that you should only kill what your going to eat unless its eating something you need to protect. I remember when I was little and my dad tought me a lesson. I had just gotten a new 410 single shot shotgun and we were out hunting dove and I saw a rabbit cross the road so I drew up and shot my dad said ok pick it up your going to clean and eat it, I was game but when I got to the rabbit it was still alive so I started to put another shell and my dad said stop dont waste another shell. Long story short. I had to kill it I wont say how but I never killed another animal for sport. Lesson learned.

Hunted: White Tail, Mule Deer, Elk, Duck's, Dove, Quail and Pheasant (my fav), Partridge, Chuckar and Grouse and Turkey. Ate'em all. Oh yeah, wild hog's.

I wouldn't know any other way to live! I grew up being taught to hunt, fish, trap & gather. When "the chips are down" I have ALWAYS been able to fill the freezer and pantry just to make sure that there's plenty to eat for the family. Don't get me wrong, I don't reside in the backwoods (although I'd like to) & I have a professional career. Nonetheless, this is part of my fabric and skills that I have already begun to hand down to my children. Besides, there's nothing better to diet on than salmon, moose & caribou meat

Animals are delicious...

I don't really like the idea of just blowing away something for sport though. Often hunting NEEDS to be done to thin out certain animals as there are no more predators to hunt them. For that reason, I don't have a problem with someone else hunting, but it will never be me pulling the trigger. If I had to hunt something for sport, I'd rather it be a person, people aren't innocent, animals are.

I grew up hunting and I eat what I kill.

That would exclude coyotes who get into livestock. I actually like fishing much better and go all summer.

I haven't shot a deer in ten years, not because I am against it. I just haven't really had the urge. I have lots of food at home and am too damn lazy anymore to gut them out, hang them, cut all that meat up, etc.

I take pictures all the time. I also have NOTHING against nonhunters. I have some good friends who aren't into it.

That's fine as long as they don't try to limit my freedom to do so.

I can't stand assholes who go out and shoot at everything that lives or moves. Some bad apples make the rest of us who enjoy wildlife look terrible.

I'll have to go check out the thread in the picture section. I must have missed another clash.

not to exclude anyone or put them down but if you have something against hunting then why post in the thread??? why start the argument...i just dont understand this...ive got some pics of a friend of mines bull moose and it is HUGE, but i wont post them just because i know what kind of thread people will turn it into...its ridiculous...

why dont we get some more drinking, drug using, slut banging threads going...EVERYONE sure loves those ones

I've never been hunting. I would do it given the opportunity though. It seems like meat would taste a lot better knowing that you hunted for it rather than picking up a cleanly wrapped package in the grocery store... I don't know if there's much hunting in Washington though. Lots of fishing though... you get your hands on a boat and you'll never buy salmon again

i just went and read what happened exactly in th thread...vander i just have to say man, i have always thought you were a good enough guy. i think a lot of people dont get you, and you've alwasy had nice things to say about me, especially my pics, but that was a gay thing to say. you havent even been around the board in the last like 6 months consistently...no one calls you out on any of your little "contests" that you start then end up backing out of or the "5 inch wrist" threads either...then you feel like you can say "find another board" to the people who enjoy hunting. nice man...go ahead, say you were just "bustin' our balls" and we need to "chill out"...play it off as a joke...typical vander.LOL

I have permission to hunt deer on several estates in my area. They cost them thousands in landscaping costs every year so these rich people really hate deer. It really works out for me as the venison they provide my primary red meat source all year so I save a ton of cash. I even make hard bar soap out of the fat(about 30 bars worth per deer) as a byproduct-which oddly enough smells like fresh baked bread?(weird tangent huh) I find it odd, with the amount of protein you need to consume for this sport, that most bodybuilders would have a problem with hunting at all-epecially with the sheer amount of food we eat/killing required-bunch of glutons! Remember- 2 Chicken breasts =1 dead chicken. Think of the thousands of chickens this board has needlessly slaughtered-LOL!
