This was brought to my attention that hydrogen peroxide H202 can do marvelous things.
It adds extra oxygen to the body with an extra oxygen atom.
I did my own research and it has been used in many applications. In fact I have been taking this in water, about 4 drops 3 times a day on empty stomach.
I havent really noticed much yet except that day I was training back and biceps.
As I worked my way up to the 60 pound dumbells on the preacher bench,I felt an unsual pain in the left bicep.I kept pumping out reps.
The next day both biecps were sore but the left one was alot more sore.As the day went on , the left got more sore and even started getting red on the inside of the bicep.
I must have torn something. This 60 pound dumbell is not something new to me so I cant figure why this happened.I have been training for 21 years and never had a muscle tear in the bicep.
I am blasting and cruising with aas and gh for quite a while.
Has anyone had experience with hydrogen peroxide or might know what caused this injury?
Maybe the H202 increased oxygen that much and put that much more load on the muscle?
Anyone?

Hi Musha,

Oxygen is a funny thing actually. We need it to live, but too much can kill you :) What I mean is- the metabolic utilization of oxygen also produces free radicals, which are one of the top culprits for almost every disease and death itself, inflammation is the second bad boy.

In the hospital when we have people on a ventilator, we can have them on room air (21% oxygen) all the way up to 100%. If the patient needs more O2 of course we'll give it, but our goal is to have them on the lowest amount possible d/t the free radical effect on the lungs. In the Neonatal ICU, they too have the same practice b/c the free radicals from too much O2 can cause blindness.

Mainly though, for your concern, I honestly don't know of ingesting O2 will actually increase O2 levels in the blood- I understand their theory, but theory and reality do not always agree.

What are your goals exactly? That's the place to start. Then, research any supplements that will aide in that goal. Spend your money elsewhere .

I realize that you are diluting it, but that seems like a very high concentration. I know they use to use high concentration in rocket fuels. I found this short paragraph that might be of interest.

"Only [highly diluted] 35% Food Grade hydrogen peroxide is recommended for internal use [note: obviously his point is that only Food Grade hydrogen peroxide should be taken internally, there are lower concentrations than 35%]. At this concentration [i.e. 35%], however, hydrogen peroxide is a very strong oxidizer and if not diluted, it can be extremely dangerous or even fatal. Any concentrations over 10% can cause neurological reactions and damage to the upper gastrointestinal tract."

Good find...

Thanks OTH- I quote one part of the study in particular, "...is a very strong oxidizer..."

That's what happens to metal when it rust's. It becomes oxidized. That's the part about oxygen and it's free radical component.

Hey Myosin, I have always wondered if anyone has used a humidifier in a hospital setting with .5% food grade peroxide/water to treat lung infections. Have you ever heard of such a thing?

As a side note, I have used 35% up to 12 drops twice a day without noticing any sides. Its also great to kill cavaties, helps destroy plaque on your teeth, (as well as whiten them), good to gargle with, and drink, when you're sick, it's awesome to clean mold and mildew and other weird shit growing on sinks and tubs etc., it will eat through a wart and leave the healthy skin pretty unharmed, I haven't tried this one but if you got food poisoning I bet the peroxide would kill the bad bacteria pretty fast.

Interesting...

No, I haven't heard of using H2O2 through the humidifier on the vent, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done. I think we stick with IV abx simply because it's what we know. One of our Attending MD's is also a Pulmonologist that has seen ALOT, I'll ask him next time I see him.

As far as everything else you mentioned, I really have never studied H2O2 beyond using it to clean around wounds, stoma's, etc. so I can't reasonably say anything else.

If this becomes the new standard treatment for bronchial infections, I better get credit! ;)

Seems like you could go and buy some of the 3% from your local pharmacy for much cheaper. Safer and easier to get also.

It does not 'add oxygen' to your body. The chemical formula for Hydrogen Peroxide is H2O2, and water is H20.

Your body already produces hydrogen peroxide as a component to many enzymatic processes. Ingesting it will do nothing, except put you at risk for blood disorders, etc.

Exactly. I could easily see it really giving stomach problems with pro longed usage.

You can't go drink pure 35% hydrogen peroxide it has to be diluted with distilled water or it will cause tissue damage To use the hydrogen peroxide therapy you need to do a lot research first. Read everything by Dr. Kurt Donsbach.
3% is ok for baths and external use. It contains chemical preservatives and other stabilizers, which it is not intended for oral consumption. Your also suppose to take hydrogen peroxide on empty stomach and often times for oral use magnesium dioxide/oxide is suggested instead for oral use.

Dr. Kurt Donsbach has products 35% hydrogen peroxide already formulated to correct specifications. I would not attempt try to formulate your own if your not going to do extensive research.

Side note make great nasal spray if done correctly.

where can one get hold of food grade hp?i think the one they sell in the stores as an antiseptic is something like 3-5% and for hair bleaching is like 15% if i'm not mistaken.this sounds like a very interesting article...

What I have been doing for a while now is..
I purchased 35% food grade, then diluted it down with distilled water.

I clean out a nasal spray bottle (any one will do) and fill it with this hydrogen peroxide/distilled water mix.

Whenever I have a sore throat coming, or need help with congestion in the lungs.

I bend down and do rapid puffs while inhaling deeply into my lungs. It always helps me cough out phlegm, and I feel a burst of energy from doing that (may be placebo who knows)

It really helps take my sore throat away also.

Just as an added note, hydrogen peroxide is used by granulocytes as a first line defense to actually kill off foreign invaders

I would just get this and not deal with all the hassle of correct dosing/ diluting etc.

Diluted it works great to whiten up your teeth too:D

A very good discussion here. I bought some from the local health store for cheap.
Thanks for posting the articles on here. I have read others as well.

and how do you feel after consuming CO2 from your bottle of coke?? does it put a damper on your performance?? i highly doubt it , but the caffiene sure helps.unless you have somehow developed bronchial tissue in your stomach there is no way it can do any good for you. the damage peroxide will cause if not mixed properly greatly outwieghs anything it could do for you health wise which is next to nill anyway.
save what you have and put it in your plants to get rid of that root rot and fungis knatts. there you go another helpfull tip of peroxide , that will be $5 thank you
