and I thought doing one arm deadlitfs were hard!! Good effort!
 
That looked very difficult. Not only do you have to have incredible strength but great balance so you don't fall over.
 
Unimpressed. Thats a bumper plate. Thats like 135ish. Iv seen that weight done by someone 170 (not 280 like the guy in the vid) THEN watched the guy do a turkish getup with it (like i showed you).

blue plates - 20 kg
small ones add to make it all 110 kg

Gotta agree. Coming from a powerlifting background, what he did was insane and very, very difficult.

Iv seen someone over 100lbs less than him do 135 and do a turkish getup with it. Try that lol. Didnt know it was 245 tho...thats pretty impressive

turkish getups are the most exhausting thing. Sets of 10 with a 55lb. kettle ball kicked my ass.
 
This guy snatched 465 lbs and he was on Russian Olympic lifting team
Clean and jerk was around 250 kg which is 550 or so.
He had some disagreement with the head coach or something and got thrown out, then became interested in strongman.
I would say overall - hes one of the strongest men in the world, and also incredibly athletic. Regularly came behind Savickas in the IFSA worlds.

the 1 arm DB snatch from a slightly wider stance is actually a pretty good movement for football players (mimicks coming off the line). couldn't imagine doing it with a barbell though:eek: that is some great balance there.
 
Thats Koklayev and thats 242lbs. Dude is a monster. Hes a badass strongman and elite olympic lifter. Im willing to bet no one on this board can do that.

Hes pretty close to the all time world record in the snatch (220 kg by Krastev), he probably could beat it too if he continued to train solely for Oly lifting.
 
i challenge ANYONE here to start doing the olympic lifts. not even full snatches or full cleans but even power cleans and power snatches. you guys need a HUGE dose of reality here fellas. pretty much any of the guys competing in weightlifting in the olympics right now would be able to lift all of OUR (im including myself here) asses under the table. they would bury us...most of you guys dont even realize it. sess and vadim will back me up on this...

You are correct. These guys and gals are amazing strong. I have coached olympic lifting and the snatch is a crazy exercise. Just put a 45er on each side of the bar and put it overhead, then squat all the way down ass to the floor with it and come back up.................easy enough right? Try it!!!!:D Then come on here and talk about how not so strong these athletes are. This shit will humble you real fast!!

Quick exercise for you to try..........In coaching we call it the first pull. Load the bar with whatever you want, get into the deadlift position, run the bar up against your shins, tighten your back and pull only to just under the kneecaps. When you start the pull your butt cannot move before the bar starts to rise. Do ten reps with that in rapid order. Rest and repeat for five sets. Remember, your ass cannot start to move until the bar does!:eek: :D

Oh Im convinced that he could take the gold in OL right now if he wanted to. He would be the only one able to push Rezazzedeh who is now retired.
