Is my testosterone level "too low"

I'm 32 and have used aas for about 8 years, not for the last year though because of no working out do to an injury. A few months ago I did a few shots of test e and deca just to make sure my levels were low so I could get hrt, I blatently asked for test and deca. So I got tested last week and my test level is 48, Dr said normal is 250. Sorry I don't know if this is free or plasma, Dr just said 48. She(Dr) is now ordering more blood work. Do you think she is possible giving me a steroid test because I'm so low? and suspects I just came off? I was semi-honest about my past use; I said I have not used in 2 years. I guess I'll just ask what the tests are before they take blood at the lab, it's gonna look bad if the tech say "steroid test" and I up and leave! Bye-bye hrt! She can't "report" me to the ins company can she? Thanks

She's not looking for past steroid use, if she is a good competent MD she is ordering more hormonal profile bloodwork panels. Doc's aren't allowed to drug test you IME.

im gunna say no... costs big bucks i think to individually test for a compound

they jsut cant prescribe test on one blood test, as they do fluctuate...although, i doubt from 48- to 800 the next...lol

Bro if your test levels came back at 48 then say hello to some hrt. Your dr has no choice to prescribe you hrt with those levels. 250-1200 is considered normal so you could see you aren't even on the low end your practically at zero for all intents and purposes. Ever wonder why some people are natually bigger than others when they both begin working out at the same time. Someone with a level of 250 is going to be far inferior to someone who is up around 1000-1200 yet both people would be considered to have "normal" test levels? Totally wrong.
