is prevacid bad for you??

My doctor put me on prevacid. I dont read any bad side effects online, but there are people on boards that say it messes ur digestion. Does neone on prevacid or similar proton pump blockers have lost size cause of "bad digestion"

same here however, it gives me serious gas

I cleaned up my diet to learn what causes the symptoms. I had H. pylori (spelling) and then i cleaned up the diet and do not need prevacid anymore.

I take tums when needed. Condiments and sugar gave me serious heartburn F.Y.I>

My friend was on it last summer and it really slowed his digestion. He went off it when he said he saw undigested food come out. I can't say how he compares to you but I'm sure he's an extreme case. He ate like shit so he figured the quick fix was a drug instead of eating right. .02
