Is this decent for an on-the-go breakfast?

I wake up every morning at 5:15 AM to go to work. I don't have time to make a big breakfast. Would this be suitable?: 1 Quaker Oats granola bar (as seen here: **broken link removed** ) and 1 greek yogurt (as seen here: 5.3oz Oikos Strawberry Organic Greek Yogurt ).

I realize it's not the best but is this a decent breakfast to have every morning before I go to work? BTW, I have tried protein bars (Zero Impact bars) and they're too dry and chalky. And I've tried ON's Oats and Whey shake but only having a shake didn't fill me up.

It's better than Mcdonalds, but there's plenty of better choices my friend (JMO). How pressed for time are you ?

Why dont you use instant oats and add egg or egg whites, mix it and stick it in the microwave. It wont even take a minute!

shake

in a blender blend up a couple packets of instant oats, milk or orange juice, 50g whey protein, peanut butter or coconut milk.

Bam thats like 750 calories easy.

What are your stats and goals?

Why not make a good breakfast the night before? Plan ahead = saved time and better results.

I agree with the comment about a shake. Throw your some protein powder, oats, and peanut butter in a blender the night before. Wake up and toss in some milk and frozen fruit. Blend it up. Pour it in a big paper/styrofoam cup, and drink it on the way to work.

Step one.....get a magic bullet or the generic version which I have. It costs about half. That thing is a life saver. In the off-season I used to take a cup of Coach's Oats and two and one half scoops of isolate and then blend with water for about 5 seconds. It tastes great and takes about two mins if that to make. If you are still hungry, take a banana with you to eat as well.

If it were me, I would just wake up earlier. If your goal is to build muscle then neglecting breakfast is a huge mistake as it is with any of your meals but that one is a must. Depending on how important your goals are would depend on how important that extra 20 mins of sleep would be. Thats just my opinion.

Easy Taste Good Shake

I would just do a shake if I don't have time, Mine usually consist of:

1/4 water
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup liquid egg whites
1/2 banana
3-4 strawberries
2 Large Heaping Scoop of Protein Powder

Its equals about protein 40-50gm , carbs 25gm, fats 8gm

takes 2min in blender.

here is what I do

8oz 2% milk, 4oz water, 1 cup oats, 2 scoop muscle juice, 1 scoop protein isolate and one large banana.

Takes 5 minutes to make, taste is okay and keeps me going till 9AM, I drink at 6AM

1290 calories
93 grams protein
