Issue with my diet client

so one of my clients is very busy at his job about 2 days a week he has alot of troble following his diet and ends up either eating nothing or just eating shakes all day and 1 maybe 2 solid food meals when his regular diet is 6. i am at a loss at what i should do for him and was hoping for some input from you guys. i wana just tell him to suck it up and find time, but he has paid me a lot of money to help him with this. he basically only has time for mornings and evenings to eat on these days. what do you guys think.
 
Honestly w8's Im an ass when it comes to this stuff. That client is a reflection of you, if he doesnt do what you say and down the road either tells people that you didnt produce results for him or people see that your training him and nothing has happened, thats going to be nothing but detrimental to your business. Ive given money back 2 times in the last 2 years because I got so sick of someones lack of fortitude or it being a constant argument to get them to do something. Ive also have gone off on some of my clients with brazen truthfulness of "if you want to keep looking like your looking 10 years from now and look back and be bummed that you never changed yourself, then keep doing what your doing"---but the bottom line is results will get you much more money over time than one slacker who says he wants to do this but doesnt have the courage to go after it. Id threaten to dump him unless he tries to meet you halfway here.
 
Whats wrong with made protein via shakes all day?

Or even make batches of pro with chocolate sugar free jello.

If cal intake needs to be higher theres always that YUMMY calorie bomb thats mad easy to whip up.

Peanut butter, chocolate (could be real deal or healthy stuff, I luv chocamine and glycine) and protein powder.

Make like meatballs with the stuff thru it in the freezer overnight and man its heaven.

1 pound of peanut butter + 1lb honey per 2lb of whey pro.

Mix them all up and fist it into a ball. Throw the batch into the freezer overnight and enjoy.

Somepeople just use chocolate flabored whey or add chocolate flavoring.

I use neutral whey (isolate) from Animal. I like Chocoamine for some PEA and caffiene stimulation and glycine is a free amino that has a sweentening effect but usually most people like theres sweeter.

Glycine has a ton of healthy stuff attributed toit but with lots of cals/protein most of it will bind up during digestion no longer making it act as a free amino. Healthiest sweetner nonetheless.

You will have to experiment to find your spot as there is no accounting fot taste!

I have found clients frustrating who wont put forth effort. But I have decided-I need the money-its my job. So I wont turn away $1000s of dollars (one of my newer clients for example will spend
$2500 plus has refered someone else who will spend equally).
So I give them speeches about their lack of effort and how it will result in diminishing results. But, it wont change my physique!
Its better than sitting at home eating, I figure. Although, like probably all the guys and gals on this board, I dont understand not giving your best effort-some people are just weak and lazy.
But making it to the gym is better than not. And also Ive had some whiners who needed a 2-3wk break-in peroid - accompanied by the attemped motivational 'speech', and then they kicked it in!

All people are different-I feel I have to try to get a best effort if Im doing my job right. But Im not going to make myself miserable and frustrated in the process, if they dont respond.

I know this was about diet-but in fitness its all relative.
 
is he lazy or just really busy at work? not everyone can take that time to eat a solid food meal. i dont see the problem in letting him use shakes for those 2 days. if he needs carbs in there u can have him add oatmeal or wheat germ. some people just dont have the luxery to do that.

How much chocamine are you using - I just need something for a starting point as this stuff's a bit expensive.

Maybe work up an alternate diet for those days....using quickly made shakes or bars that will replace solid meals.
 
Best you can do is educate them.
You should keep them as clients though thats what they are paying you for is "guiding" them to reach their objectives.
You can be motivational/supportive every once in a while but dont lay it thick it will not have the same impact.
Thats why people hire trainers, they lack motivation to go out there and learn thing and figure out their bodies.
I never train anyone who is sufering from "lack of motivation" I just cant get myself to sit there and count reps and tell the person how well their doing....
However, if a dedicated athlete whoses been doing it for a while has a sticking point or a problem like a lagging body partor just needs dialing in, I'm there cause I enjoy that kind of stuff plus I find that the motivation is inspirational to me.
