I think Jay totally did the right thing. Like he said in the video, his reputation IS everything to him. Instead of just not showing up, he did the right thing by explaining why he's not going. It's disheartening to hear that people can randomly be arrested without just cause.

and you guys can believe what you want, but it doesnt matter how "wisely" we vote...IT WILL NOT CHANGE A DAMN THING. we only have the illusion of choice. repubs, dems...they are part of the same system, and that system is corrupt and bankrupt. the only answer is system reset. im not trying to preach revolution or some shit, i have no idea what the outcome of our society will be, but i do know the direction we are headed, and i do know most things tend to progress at an increasing rate of speed. its like compound interest, the progress builds upon itself. im ranting now....just know that how you vote has very little to do with the outcome. that is what you are intended to think, its the distraction. it may determine whether gays can get married or whether you will get a small tax cut (which will just be taken in another way), but your vote will not determine if you live in a free society or not. nothing else matters. nothing.

The only thing that will help is a complete collapse. Then things can be reconstituted. The bolsheviks in charge have no intention of letting things be changed by 'elections' and they sure as shit aren't going to simply hand things over just because they might receive some threats. However, the collapse is inevitable. We're seeing it all around us right now. Better for us in the long run.
