Wow. I remember reading his articles in muscle magazines back in the day. RIP Jeff.....

A great loss our prayers go out to him, his family and close ones. He did a lot for our sport. An amazing man he will be missed. His articles will live on.
We love you Cory!

So many from my era checking out. I used to cling to his writings back when I was a young man. And Cory was, is, will always will be the greatest female BB of all time.

Yeah, me too. I had a subscription to Muscle and Fitness back in the 80s. I kinda idolized Jeff because he had a great physique and such a beautiful wife, Cory.

I got to meet him and Cory in about 1984 at a grand opening of a golds gym in Arlington Texas. It was a long time ago,i had just competed in the teenage Mr Metroplex. He took 550 and did 6 reps on the bench, raw.

I didn't know he was that strong! I guess he did some powerlifting too?

Palumbo said age 65

I think he got that wrong. Every other report has him listed at 68 which sounds right considering how long he's been around.

I always read his articles. My friend gave me years worth of Muscle and Firness when I started bodybuilding in 1987. That’s where i got my diet and workouts. I hate seeing these RIP threads. :(

I hated seeing this. I remember him and Cory very well. They both had covers or articles in about every magazine out there for years. Yes a short life, but looked like a good one. RIP JEFF EVERSON

Looks like he died about 7 years prior to the average white male these days.
From WebMD:
"Life expectancy white American male
Life expectancy for white men is down 0.2 years to 75.3, but up 0.2 years to 70.2 for black men. Life expectancy for white women is down 0.2 years to 80.3, but steady at 76.8 for black women. The gap in life expectancy between black and white Americans is down to 4.6 years."

So not too shabby. He lived longer than some other pros have. Arnold is 71 years old, so not a lot older but he seems to be doing well now. I wonder if anyone knew if Jeff had any conditions or if this was a total surprise. On that video Polumbo says rumor is that it was his heart.

RIP ... love his articles in the old m&f mag
