Jr. National Question

I have a question regarding the Jr. Nationals. This past Saturday I did the Mr. ILL and took second in the open NPC. I believe I'm qualified to do the Nationals if I want.

I would like to do the Jr. Nationals but next year. The Jr. Nationals "for this year" is three weeks away. I believe it's June 13th. Can I do the contest next year June 13, 2004 or will my NPC expire and I'd have to do the ILL again to qualify?

Thanks.

qual

your qualified for the next two years.

All NPC membership cards expire December 31st the year of issue so renew your membership in early January to continue receiving NPC Magazine and promotional mailings.

Your decision to do a junior level national show first is a wise one. It is not well received to compete in a senior level national show without first doing a junior level.

Thanks NPC of RI

NPC of RI

Thanks for the information. I will do that in 30 days as I should receive my NPC card. The Jr. Nationals is June 13th in which I will attend to see the competitors.

I want to bring up some bodyparts of mine, get thicker and work on my posing. I think my conditioning for the Mr. ILL was great so I'll try to keep that same conditioning but maybe a bit more harder.

Any other advice I need as I prepare myself for the Jr. Nationals NPC of RI? Please share them. I'm not sure if you saw any of my pictures.

Nute...

listen to NPC of RI,

I had a buddy that won the missouri state show a few years back. He looked f'n incredible and could have done some real damage at the jr levels, but got impatient and skipped them and did the USA's in vegas the same year as he won the missouri state show. Needles to say he underestimated the level of competition and didn't do well. Don't let that happen to you bro. Baby steps bro. Rome wasn't built in a day. Good luck.

You're so right Mav

You're so correct Maverick. I had friends trying to tell me if I get NPC qualified to do the Nationals and I'm like "ohhh no I won't."

My plan is to take it slow. I'll attend the Jr. Naitonals in three weeks to see the competition. Next year I'll do the Jr. Nationals and see how I do. I'll make adjust this offseason that should make me look better for the Jr. Nationals. I want to gain some weight but not too much.

My plan is to compete as a superheavy. For the ILL I weighed 214 or 213lbs and for the Jr. Nationals I'd like to weigh between 222lbs or 225lbs. I think I can keep good conditioning at 222lbs as I was ripped six and 1/2 weeks out for the ILL and I weighed 220lbs.

However, if I cannot make the weight as a superheavy or it won't look as hard I'll do the Jr Nationals as a heavyweight but compete between 217 and 219lbs. That weight I know for sure I can look hard as nails but fuller than at the ILL.

What do you guys think? My god I'm on cloud 9. This is so exciting. The only time I was this excited is when I finished 4-years of college and received my BBA degree in Business and Accounting.

Thanks guys.
