I kill myself dieting down for shows,, and I have a buddy of mine that is ripped all the time no matter what he eats,,lol..

I am in the high 250lb range,, and he is a light heavy.. but the fucker dont do anything special .. he actually uses drols to bring up his muscularity a few weeks out and he wins his class and overall alot..I mean he hardly diets .. Blows up, drys out and thats it...

I here what you are saying. However its guys like this are the ones that sometimes have a hard time putting on mass. So we get the upper hand in the long run, well bigger muscles anyway.:)

That would be me... I always wanted to be able to put on mass easier. I had to stop doing cardio 3x/week to try to keep it on. The grass is always greener, huh? ;) Even just the other day my buds were ridin' me because even at 5'6" (yeah, I'm a short little bugger) and 190lbs, my size 32 jeans were falling off of me...

I have a training partner just like this. The fucker eats whatever he wants virtually all year long and he's hard & tight. He doesn't diet, he cuts out fast food! Then there's me....bust my ass, cardio my brains out & strictly eat bb food with no cheating for what seems like forever...Just chaps my ass...

Endomorphs secrete more insulin when eating and have slower metabolism which keeps them in an anabolic state.

Good question. I'm not positive but here's my best guess. People with naturally low body fat are usually ectomorphs. They have narrow hips and shoulders and less muscle mass. Meso and endomorphs generally have larger bone structures and as a result, more natural skeletal muscle mass. Since the meso's and endo's have more muscle fibers to begin with, they get larger quicker since there's just more fibers to enlarge.

I don't think either camp gains muscle mass (true hyperplasia) any faster than the other but the meso's and endo's have a huge headstart. That's not to say that ecto's can't achieve large size. Just means it will take a little longer. With the use of AAS and heavy training, they can change their body structures too (muscle mass and bone density).

I'm in the fat camp. Since most of my friends are ecto's, I'm usually hating them come diet time but then they hate me come bulking time.

It's just the genetic difference between body types. IMO.

metabolism goes faster on ectomorph so they can't gain weight/muscles as fast as endomorph do
 
ha your gonna hate me then

my pre contest diet is more calories than my off season, I am clean all year and never get out of single digits bf, i gear up 4 mo. out. I start the diet 8-10 weeks out depending on condition. I eat 800+ grams of carbs a day while dieting and do about 2 weeks of cardio! ...kevin levrone style!....

I tried the whole bulking up in the off season thing and dropping the weight for the shows but my body has a hard time doing it and I looked and felt like shit all year. any of you who have trouble with this sort of process should try cleaning up for the majority of the year and startin your gear a few months out, my body responds much better to this and I'm not taxin myself all year with gear and a high bodyweight...

oh ya my metobalism is lightning fast also!
 
lol,,,One thing my buddy gets pissed about me is that he says I grow just walking past a gym,,lmao.. its just constant friendly bickering..,you know how it is..lol

I get contest ready at about 235, he couldnt get that big on a huge bulk season,lmao..

its just funny how body types have different pro's and cons..

but we are what we are and have to learn what works for you !
 
Man, I tell ya, it takes a good amount of will power for me to lose. I hold naturally between 268-278 in which Simone probably gets grossed out...:p lol... Sort of shaped like a capital "Q". The older I get though, I feel like a Nazi concentration camp victim just to cut weight.
 
I have a high metabolism. Stay under 10% year round no matter what I eat. I'm like a walking furnace year round.
 
im in the get big easy group. if i dont go out and just workout and eat i will grow extremely fast. however, i gain bf rather easy if i slack off and stay out late and
not eat healthy. i think that is why bodybuilding is so fun, we are each others comp all based on genetics. a guy may come in a little more ripped than us mass monsters, but when we hit rear lats, most muscular and quads/abs we blow em out the water. its sorta like the difference between the Mr. O and Arnold Classic, 2 completely different judging processes for completely different physiques.
 
I agree. Its extremely unfair that some have perfect genetics and others try 10x as hard with less results. Very very unfair. Your physique should only look like the amount of hard work and effort you put into it.
 
SOMETIMES mother nature will be generous to a person both in terms of building mass as well as ripping up for a contest a lot more easier than most of us........those are the guys you pay $100 for to see compete against eachother at the Mr Olympia :rolleyes:
