Lab sites that test for bacteria? i.e-staph

I got a staph infection probably a month ago and am getting treated with antibiotics for it now..was wondering if there's any lab sites that can test products for bacteria...i have a feeling it was the eq i was using...thanks

Did you get staph? where? I dont know of anywhere to get product tested for bacteria... but about 1/3 of the population has staph bacteria on their skin. Lots of times it is in your nose. So that makes it very easy to get an infection when you already have the bacteria on your skin. I had a terrible staph infection that mostly covered my upper body and am now a little OCD about it. After i shower regularly, i wash down with Hibiclens. It's what they use to wash hands and forarms with before going into sugery.

I got the infections on both pecs, left quad and left tricep...all had to be surgically drained and am now recovering ...i tink once i got the infection it spread to the other sites i injected since there was a break in the skin and like u said, its found naturally on the body, so it went right in.

Hibiclens? interesting...ill have to look into that...

Stay on the antibiotics and if i were you i'd wash w/ hibiclens or something every now and then.. just to make sure there is no staph bacteria on your skin.

I was in a similar situation as you.. You had multiple breaks in your skin and got staph in all of those places, and so did I. I really dont think it was your gear, but im no expert.

If I had to bet, the staph came from your own body. Like has been said, it is all over your skin. All it takes is a tiny opening and an accidental rub or touch to get it.
I've had it twice, rough stuff. First time it was like a mini-leprosy. I had a quarter size hole in my rear delt a few centimeters deep and it spread all around my shoulder up my neck and on my chest.
The second time was worse, all over my lats and midsection. This time it was under the skin so the doctor had to take a surgical knife, lacerate then drain all of them, really hurt like hell.

Definitely take the antibiotics, but be sure to take the whole bottle. Last thing you want is a resistant strain of staph...
