Lat Flare Position

Can anyone tell me the correct positioning of the arms and shoulders when doing a back lat flare? Here are two pictures - one with arms positioned more back, the other with arms more forward. This is for a figure competition, if that makes any difference ... Any input is welcome!!

Arms a little bit more back is the transitioning phase so in the end they should be more forward.

I'd say just spread those lats and your arms will come where they need to be automatically (as opposed to trying to bring the lats somewhere with your arms)

I noticed my lats look bigger when my arms are more forward, and create a larger more pronounced V. This position doesn't bring pop my shoulders up as high as when my arms are back, though. I'm guessing the larger V is more important than rounded shoulders with this pose, though?

ya definatly, you want the v more, moen said it best....

when trying to hit this pose try to round your shoulders(maling more clevage in front). then without moving your shoulderblades at all pull your arms back slightly, and raise your chin(bigger traps) post a few more pics if you need to were glad to help...

You guys are terrible.LOL Your about as bad a Bulldog21 judging the figure classes. I had to get on him about wiping the drool away from his chin and remind his Strongmind was just a quick phone call away if he didn't stop.

Sorry I can't provide the side boobage entertainment, as that's one of the first things to go when getting lean. :) Good thing we're not judged on that!
