Hearing all this raving over lba's im thinking of trying them. As everything before i try it i like to have some knowledge first. Searching on here and even google didnt spring much info up. On the trueprotein site it sells one bottle with 30 servings but only 6g of protein per serving. So i gotta drink half a bottle a day? Some sites say 20g of lba is like 50g of whey protein. Interesting to not only hear some bro science but also any real documented accounts on this stuff? Cant figure it out, thanks.
 
Try a search for trueprotein and that should give you better results.

I am on bottle 10 I believe. At first I was using it as a little snack in between meals and late at night for any sweets cravings. This parlayed into half a tablespoon of PB covered in choc LBA, mmmm. I now use them as two small meals, sometimes one.

A great low carb out the door quick meal is coconut oil covered in choc LBA.

Anyways as far as reults I like the product but it is tough to quantify the effect but I am getting leaner, been doing 2 hour long sessions on non training days and 30-60 mins on training days. I eat more on training days and less on non. I am getting noticably leaner every week and am not loosing any weight. The scale is still 230 everymorning I hop on it.

As far as telling what LBA's are contributing I cannot say exactly. What I can say is they are part of my overall program that is slowly brining me towards what I have envisioned becoming. They are a tool, a freaking great tasting one at that, that provides conveinient on the go ready to consume protein. Last but not least do not over look the hydration bennefits of the glycerol content.

My advice, try them out, be realistic(They are not turn you into Phil Hernon overnight magic bean stalk aminos) and enjoy one of the best tasting supplements you will ever try.
 
Also search lean beef aminos. There are a million threads on here about them.
 
i've heard several differant ways to use them , everything from
1)just adding 2-3 spoons to each bottle of water all day

2)adding a couple (2-3) spoons to each meal

3)eating a couple (2-3) spoons full between each meal so that your meals are spread a little farther appart

4)to using them as a soul source of protein , taking 5 oz with a piece of fruit like a plum or apple and a teaspoon of olive oil , eating this ever 3hrs or so or once the hunger paings start. (this kinda sucks , but does drop bodyfat!!)

I personaly add a few tablespoons to each one liter bottle of water i drink a day , if nothing else it makes the water go down easier

sounds good but how does it compare to say whey protein or casien? Is this lba a long or fast acting protien? Do i need to take 50g worth of this stuff just as i would whey protien after my workouts? Info like that would be great. One site even said something like 10g of lba is like 500g of whey protien? Isnt protien protien?

Dont get me wrong guys, i really appreciate this kind of info. But i dont want to be guessing my protien consumption each day with this stuff. Or is the label right, only 6g of protien per serving? So i gotta take hand fulls of servings just to get my intake of 50g right after my workout? Just curious how the equation of the protien consumption works out with this stuff. Also, any recommendations on flavors to try? I usually get chocolate flavored whey protien. Never liked vanilla, strawberry, or any of those foo foo flavors. Like chocolate is any less foo foo though right?
 
As far as servings go if you were to measure a "serving" of whey by the tablespoon you would have to take many as well. As far as the LBA=whey conversion you are asking one of those questions that just does not have a answer, at least to my knowledge. I take whey/casein as well.

I use LBA's beacuse:

1.Quality protein
2.Tastes awesome
3. Not another shake(take shakes long enough and you will understand)
4. Really easy to digest, no bloat.
5. It just works for me, might not for you, but does for me.

Those questions cant be answered as to what is equal to what. What does a 180 pound guy look like compared to a 250 pound guy? You need to look at them.......you need to try them.
 
We should just name this particular forum LBA Forum.
 
Firstly you NEED to know how many grams of protein you need in a day. NO guessing game for this. Example 200g/d.
Hit that number using natural foods and protein powders. Then LBA comes in. Its aminos so its fast acting. With it, at the end of the day your protein intake will be 200 plus grams. Mission accomplished.

You're complicating this, OP.

It's a highly convenient, delicious complete protein source (makes whey shakes seem like a chore). Use it to reach your protein consumption goals or to easily diversify your protein sources.

That's it. It's not superman protein. It's not equal to double its amount in whey, none of that.

I use vanilla , and lemon/lime for water , beats the hell out of Crystal Lite
]In the off season , I will probably use alot more chocolate in my whole milk.

according to the labels I'm adding roughly 100 grams addational protein to my diet a day. I dont really take these into account for my daily macros , maybe 50g , and that that has been replaced from a shake i was drinking in the late night
I'm steadly getting leaner quickly following my trainers diet and i highly doubt that cutting out this ammount of cals right now would make me get leaner any faster
 
Agreed!! 10grams = 500grams whey? Absolutely RIDICULOUS statement! Post the link about the website.

LBA has a different structural protein than whey, soy or other proteins, LBA is a fibrous structural protein with a different function. Collagen protein fibers are major component of extracellular matrix that supports most tissues and gives cell structure from the outside. In muscle tissue it servs as a major component of endomysin, also constitutes 2% of muscle tissue.
 
I tried all the flavors so far, and in my opinion..

Coconut - The best, mixes well and tastes great..
Chocolate - 2nd best, sort of thick, so add it as a topping or drink right from the tablespoon.
Vanilla - Good, mixes well.. enough said.
Limeade - Has a weird taste to me.. doesn't mix too well so I drink it from tablespoon.
Grape - This is almost too sweet.. I never mix this stuff as it's about as thick as the chocolate.
Plain - never tried it..

So my future orders will be strictly Chocolate and Coconut with a random bottle of Vanilla thrown in there.. try them out, but I have a feeling Choc and Coconut will have the most returning customers.

Dont believe it at all. Just saying how the info on lba on the internet obviously varies since i cant seem to find much more then bro science on it. Goin to bed now, work graveyard. Ill post up the link to the site though. I just googled "lean beef amino info" and i think it was the third or fourth link down. Dated to 97 too i think. Then i found out lba stands for liquid beef amino, lol!
 
Is it ok to premix lba's in water for an extended period of time. I've heard that whey breaks down once mixed.
