Legs shrank quick!!!

Ok guys here's my problem, that I think I know the answer to but I would like some reassurance from you all. I am getting ready to go to Miami for a little trip with a couple of buddies, so I started a diet and cardio before the trip. The problem was it was only 5 weeks away, but I started walking and cut my calories by 100 from 2100 every week. I have added in cardio everyday, and I have been doing a ketogenic diet with one carb up meal a week... (I have been doing the anabolic diet for a while) And no I havent really been doing the palumbo diet, the diet I have been on has had more fat and a about 50 to 75 grams less in protein. Most of the time its around 50 grams less.
The problem is now, is that my legs are almost non existant lol, Ive even had some people comment that they have shrank. Do you think the diet was a little too severe and thats why my legs shrank or could it be too much cardio? Im assuming maybe its a combination.
My leg training tends to be heavy, but my wide stance from years of powerlifting, I believe made me rather hip dominant, so Im working on changing that. I have been on a two week cruise on DC training and I swear all my gains have been lost!!!
 
your legs are most likely depleted and should regain there fullness once you start training again and backing off the cardio/increasing calories. I do hate it when that happens.
 
Thanks MM, I thought that might be the case but then again bodybuilding is still fairly new to me. My legs werent really HUGE in the first place since I used a wide stance in powerlifting, which I think really hurt me in the leg department, even though I could "technically squat around 625." Now im closing in my stance in hopes that my legs grow atleast an 1" or 2" by next year. Maybe more...
 
When I diet and start doing lots of cardio my legs shrink too. I think everybody's do. And my legs aren't my strong point either, so it sucks but just keep training them and maybe up your protein.
 
I am behind in my legs I was wondering how long it takes to catch up with legs my friend says it takes a long time some where around three years. Does this sound correct?
 
Thanks JohnnyPro I have now stopped cardio considering it is two days before I leave for Miami, so I am upping my calories to 2500-3000 calories, and no cardio.

Make sure you are getting enough essential faty acids. This happens to me everytime I prepare for a show or increase cardio and olive oil/fish oil/Udo's helps everytime. Just something to check!

I think I will give that a try, when I diet again... I have been taking in olive oil and some almond oil.

I'll see if I can when I get back, I am with my brother and away from home, so I am using his computer... He doesnt have a digital camera, so when I get back from Miami hopefully I can get some pics up.
 
I am puzzled? Why would your legs shrink so badly? Did you stop training them and if yes.....why?? My legs do not shrink when I diet or do cardio, but I do not stop training them.....ever!! All that should happen is they get more defined and yes drop a little size from fat loss. This is the problem with extreme dieting..........you diet away your hard earned gains!!!! Not good!!

Yeah I usually diet a lot slower, so I have a feeling this is why me legs have lost some size, I guess they were depleted like MM said because I have upped my calories and they are becoming fuller once again. I did not stop training legs, but as my bodyfat got lower, my knees started to feel some pain while squatting, so I upped my reps to around twenty. But still staying as heavy as possible...

If I ever thought about doing this again I would probably add in two carb up meals a week, although now I think I have learned my lesson!
