Hello fellow board members! My wife and I recently opened an ABA therapy center for children with Autism, ADHD, Aspergers and other developmental delay disabilities. We focus on children age 3-12 who have an ability to learn while receiving ABA therapy. Part our therapy is of course physical fitness and I have put together some great simple routines that are low impact yet provide these great kids with a degree of physical fitness and teamwork skills which is a large issue with this population. The fitness room is called THE ARNOLD ROOM, we also have various other therapy rooms named after others such as Stephen Wiltshire (The Human Camera), Holly Robinson Peete and a few others.
What I am looking for from the board members here is some simple diagrams I can print and laminate for our walls of the fitness room showing various exercises. I am not looking for full color photographs but something more simple, less distracting for them to look at and imitate. Websites, posters you can scan and email or link me to would be a huge help.
Here are some pics of the room, as you can see we don't have much ( maybe a mod will let me put up a thread looking for light equipment any board member would like to donate?) We use boxing for coordination, 2lb weighted med balls, and .5lb bean bags for some resistance and we have jump ropes currently. We also use the TV for WII Fit and showing some fitness type videos.
