Lately, carbs have been making me so tired. Ive been debating keeping them at <60 grams per day. Say, in the morning, and after a workout, thats it.
Then, on the weekends, I will do carb loading.

I'm currently bulking, and running DC training.. Anyone ever do low carb bulking? Can anyone recommend a diet?

Well, Honestly

I actually function better on a keto type diet after the first initial loss of strength.
 
Dante has some posts on this very board about size gaining for endos/people that have to be very careful about body fat gains. Do this

Advanced search

put in DOGGCRAPP under user name
for keyword put in "green"
return posts only(not threads)

you'll find some clues about timing of carbs and replacing THIS with THAT in order to keep growing with a lowered carb style diet.

I dont know how that would happen?? Carbs are your main source of energy so it doesnt make sense. Furthermore, If you are trying to bulk w/o carbs, i doubt it will work. When you deplete your carb consumption, your body looks for energy elsewhere. It is going to first look in your protein if the carbs are not there.

Wrong, it will first look into stored bodyfat for fuel. The body goes to protien last

Yes, stored bodyfat as well as dietary fat are what is used for fuel before proteins + muscle tissue. Protein as an energy source is the last thing your body wants to have to do.

In response to cr91rider, my body seems to function better off of a low carb diet. Its almost like my body prefers a fat fuel source, instead of sugars. Im weird LOL :)

I believe your body begins converting proteins to glucose for a short period before you enter ketosis ... but once in ketosis, it relies on fat. As for me, I feel I do better on a ketogenic diet as well. I really can't explain it, since it would make sense that the insulin carbs release make gaining muscle easier ... but I do feel I gain just as well in ketosis, while not putting on extra fat and water weight. I also feel more energetic (after the first few days of being miserable). Have you ever read Bodyopus? It was the first CKD I did and is pretty similar to your plan (you carb up on the weekends and go low carb during the weekday. You lift on Sunday night and Monday when your glycogen stores are highest, do cardio the other days, and lift on friday right before carbing up. Not sure it thats the exact diet, but thats what I had eventually switched to doing).
