Lubricating injection needle with oil?

What's the deal with this? Do you guys do this? Squirt a little of the oil out so it oozes/lubricates the needle? Is it safe? Does it reduce the pain?

Yep.
Just a bit. Like while tapping the air out and giving that wittle push. It does not take alot of oil. But it does make it better going in IMO.

Yeah, when getting rid of the bubbles, a small amount of oil will run down the needle. This is more than enough to do the lubtication job..! :

Yes. Its definately a good idea. It make it a lot less painful and will help with
decreasing soreness after. If you ever try injecting with an emtpy and dry
needle you will feel how much it drags when pushing it in.

It does seem to help IMO. I use an air bubble between my oil and plunger to get all the gear out. Air will not hurt u a bit. If guys aren't doing this they are wasting a good amount of gear.

ALWAYS!! lube the needle by letting a drop or 2 run down it before inject!

No worries about possible contamination? I'm a bit anal when it comes to swabing everything with Alcohol so I was just wondering if it increases the risk of a bacteria in the air possibly comming into contact with the oil on the liquid and then getting pushed into your body. Just a concern I had when I read the post.

If bacteria can stick to the oil on the outside of the needle, it can stick to the needle too. I wouldn't be waving around the needle like a baton in the open air.

I hear ya Bro, I just had my weekly HRT shot of Test C. and I asked the nurse about it, she said she doesn't do it, but its personal preference and she has seen it done before. Your right about not waving the needle around like a baton, althought those giant 18g 1.5" pins feel like one sometimes.
