When will people realize that correlation does not prove causation? Not only is it rare that steroid use and violent behavior are even correlated but do people ever stop and think about how fast they jump to the “he was violent, he was on steroids, and steroids obviously caused the violence” conclusion, when it is far more logical that a third factor (obsessive / aggressive / addictive personality, mental illness, etc…) could lead to both the use/abuse of steroids and violent behavior? I don’t know what’s more frustrating the media’s constant one sided view on steroids, or the public’s constant willingness to be spoon fed garbage logic. Probably the latter as it extends well beyond the steroid topic.
