it seems time and time again when guys try to push the limits it ruins their physique. one of the common things is paluboism. well from digging around have found a couple common links for this condition.....
1. obviously gh abuse. too much for too long, but some guys use a lot for a long time and are ok so what else???
2.slin, again too much for too long but again some guys are ok and it doesnt destoy their look.
3. the one common thing everytime??? the post contest rebound!! it seems you only have maybe 2 rebounds in your whole career which you can harness. and you dont have any "side effects." after that the body seems to fight back.
first one ho comes to mind? Yates. 92-93 rebound...incredible!!! everyone after that...bigger gut, smaller arms ect.
but he was injured!!!
ol ronnie colman, the year he won the olympia he was awesome....then the gut started. and this year he didnt take anytime off and rebounded and what happened? his worst gut ,smallest arms ever on his amazing physiue!!!
ok he was injured.
palumbo...he didnt have the prettiest physique but there was a time when he looked ok, then....the gut, smaller arms.
now jay...his arms looked bad, kinda small and his waist was wide.
all of these guys have some strange discoloration in the oblique area also....its strange. now guys like leverone this never happened to. he never put on huge ammonts of muscle at one time but he was huge and shredded. ronnie..he used to stop training after the o, and he looked great. he used the rebound and of last year he looked a lot different.
kovacs....welll he did look okay when he got his pro card, but was so eager to be a top pro pushed things too far and he destroyed his body!!! he also was rumored to not take any time off from training and gear. seems like whenever anyone doesnt take any down time it ruins everything.
the body can only hold so much muscle and it can only synthisize so much at a time. one thing i noticed on me personaly????my waist is wider. im not liking that!!!!!
so after the show i will not go after the rebound again....i will rest and take it easy. there are no quick fixes and id rather not gain anymore size this year than have a 36" waist. of course i cant prove any of what im saying, just an observation form someone who has been involved in the the sport for...hmmmm13 years?? wow im gettin old.
what do you guys think? obviously you cant rebound every show and expect to gain globs of muscle and not have some kind of side effect?
