MCTs absorb into the blood stream, bypassing the digestion process that longer chain fats go through. They are great for quick energy, so are less likely to be stored in the fat cells.
Because they're bypassing the lymphatic system and being processed directly in the liver, they're behaving more like a carbohydrate... this gives you the energy. Thermogenisis iincreased = more calories burned. More calories are used, fewer are stored as fat, which helps to reduce body fat.
The MCT itself doesnt "burn fat", but through its processing pathways and resulting effects, you technically can be creating fat burning, less fat storage
