Metro-sexuality is still big these days. I've never really dug it (it's too convenient to NOT worry about my eyebrows lol), but to each their own. Obviously by working out I'm acknowledging that I care about how I look, which means I'm the last person that should be judging anyone for how they pride their personal appearance. Never try and convince yourself that you "know" what a man should look like.

Like it or not, outside of the community we have here, a great deal of steroids are used towards this purpose. Not all of us are lucky enough to find basement gyms with nothing but blood, sweat and iron permeating the room. How I wish to God I had one of those around me, but as it is a lot of the pretty-boy steroid users I see in my gym leave after showering for a half hour in a popped-collar polo shirt, and lots of jewelry. They've invested time and money into their waxing and tanning sessions, and they'll make use of it in whatever way they desire. What does it honestly matter to me?

I think it would be a grievous misjudgement to assume that most of the young steroid users out there are juicing to look like bodybuilders. The physique most of these young users obsess over is that of the fitness model, and they're very willing to convince themselves that they've reached their "natural limit" in their quest for that physique. They're even more willing to do whatever it takes to look like a male fitness model as quickly as possible. Food for thought when it comes to the perception of who typically uses anabolic substances.

I think it depends on how big or vascular you are, as to whether Metro is even possible. I'm a just a big handsome fucker with too many veins for most people's taste. I dress well, yeah. More button-down shirts and khakis or shorts for me. Or a suit.

No popped collars, no pink socks with pastel colored cloth shoes. No floppy emo hair. No pouty fucking selfies. Ever. Im an adult and a business man. Metro makes you look weak and approachable by teenage girls. My life requires authority.

Plus, over 205lbs, Abercrombie isn't gonna fit. Or Hollister. Metro guys are usually pretty small. But yes, there are lots of little metro guys on gear.

After reading the definition in Wikipedia, I would think many bodybuilders would meet the criterion for the term "metrosexual". My image in my head was that of the Abercrombie or Hollister weenie that seems too in touch with his feminine side and gives off an effeminate vibe but is actually straight. But I guess I am wrong. According to the definition, it seems it's just someone who is especially meticulous about his grooming and appearance, typically spending a significant amount of time and money on shopping as part of this. Kind of reminds me of Christian Bale in American Psycho. As for me, I shop at Kohls and Macys. I don't want to spend Nordstrom money and don't fit very well in Banana Republic, Hollister, and Abercrombie. Plus, I'm way too old for that shit.
