I embrace who I am and am very comfortable with it. That is, I am proud to be a spornosexual. I like to dress nice (By nice I don't mean True Religion and Ed Hardy, this fad is ending I hope.), trim my eyebrows when they get out of control, shave my body (Body hair is fucking disgusting, especially when it starts growing on one's back. I doubt I'll have to look hard for support on this one.), bodybuild, play sports, etc.. These are all positive positions.

I understand the hesitation of admitting to such for some because of their overmachismo and how it causes discomfort with their sexuality; I was young too once. The truth is anything that gives me the advantage out there while not being debasing, I am willing to do. Finally, I presented a research paper on looks and how it applies to the job market. Those of us who look good relative to our less good looking counterpart are more likely to both receive a job and a higher wage.

Conversely, woe betide the other 97.3675% that claim such a pragmatic basis for their unchecked narcissism.

Regardless, who am I to discern and/or categorize the intrinsic value of 'things' garnered from ones outward appearance. One mans trash...

Sounds like metrosexual is a lot like being a guido bodybuilder. Then, the answer for me is yes. Except is tough to find the nice clothes in my size and those designer clothes aren't meant for 6'2", 270+ guys. I can't even wear straight-leg jeans because of 20+ calves are too big. I do my best. At least I got hair to gel and not bald due to bodybuilding side effects. Most of my bbing buddies have fell to that side effect.

I don't label myself as anything in particular. I take great pride in my appearance. I wear nice clothes (most of the time). I use gel in my hair, but it's very short. I don't have to tan as I'm naturally darker than most people. I shave my entire body as I think body hair is just absolutely disgusting. I've not met a woman yet that told me "damn I wish you had a hairy body". I keep eyebrows and nose hair in check. Those of you that don't.....trust me, everyone notices and it's disgusting. I enjoy looking good. I enjoy women noticing that I look good. At 5'10" and 230lbs, I can't wear Abercrombie or Hollister shit so I guess I'm clear on that one. I do however make a XL Hurley shirt look damn good though.

On the other hand, I also live in the country. I hunt and kill shit that I eat. I work on my own vehicles. I drive/use a tractor on my property and lease pastures. I build fence. I participate in shooting sports. I walk outside naked and piss off my front porch in the mornings.

So.....does that make me Metro? I could give a shit less either way.

Hey guys, been a long time since I have posted on the forum.

I absolutely consider myself one, I notice alot of people are very insecure with themselves. You workout incessantly but for some reason fail to take care of your appearance? Makes no sense.

Christian Louboutin shoes, suit everywhere, and an extremely polished look... This is my style. Definitely works for me.

I know that you aren't as big as you once were but where do you tailor your suits?

I have an 18" drop. High end tailors have struggled with my proportions. 6'2.25" height 18" neck 48"chest 30" waist. I'm a mere 228 lbs. but my build is very athletic.

I've tried Rocco Giovannangelo at Oxxford Clothes here in Chicago but the price ran north of $4,000 for an American cut three piece. Barneys was no different.

I would like to keep the cost at or around $1,500. I liked full ensembles from Hugo Boss until my neck out paced their 17.5 max. Any suggestions? I'm in New York and Boston often.

I am well groomed i do have a go-tee but make sure it is trimmed short and shave my body and my nose hair and trim my eyebrows (lol).
I am a District Manager at a newspaper so i do dress nice .
I use cologne and use deodorant and shower e/d twice if it is a workout day.I keep my finger and toe nails trimmed.
Off days i wear jeans and a t-shirt.I drive a Ford f-250 CREW CAB
Though i feel taking care of yourself isn't metro-sexual .
My wife says i am a well kept redneck if thats possible.
I do have my limits i don't care to get sweaty and i don't wear gay workout wear .Oh yeah i brush my teeth
I don't do botox or wax or buy expensive clothes the publisher bought a pair of shoes that cost him $250 and one of the customer service girls told us we where wearing the same shoes.He got with me and asked me how i could afford $200+ pair of shoes and i replied i didn't i went to Payless and got them for less than $50.00 Needless to say he never wore them again.
Hell i have seen the best clothes at Goodwill, dumb-asses will pay big bucks for something to only wear them once .I rewash them and instead of paying 2k for 10 days of clothes i will get it for less than $200.00.

Yeah yeah i am a cheapskate but the only one who knows is me and i feel good about it so i can buy 10 more bottles of gear than the guy who pays a million instead of looking like a million and saving most of it:headbang:
