hey guys. i have a few more questions regarding proper diet.

1) Is there a recommended level of protein/carbs/fat, or is it relative to body weight/ body fat?

2) What might the proper ratio of each be in regards to the others?

3) At my current bodyfat level of 29%, what would be my best course of action to try to bring it down?

The current nutrition plan that i have been using breaks down something like this daily. Protein- 126g (49.4%), Carbs - 114g (44.3%), Fat - 17g (6.3%). From what i can gather, I am just not eating enough. In my mind I was still eating too much.

I have been reading what i can , and opinions are so widely varied on these subjects, the answer's are not very clear to me. I have received more sound advice from the people here than I could imagine, so i figured this would be the place to find the answers to what i need in order to get a good Nutrition/training plan in order. thanks.

Mike

great article, thanks for the link. i guess another question i have is when should most of the carbs be consumed? should the be spread out during the day, or is there a cut off point during the day that carbs intake should be shut down?

I do not worry about carbs as long as they are coming from good sources so i eat them through out the day.
The thing is eat for what you are going to do not for what you did.
If most of your activity is in the morning or afternoon then take in most of your cals and carbs in breakfast, lunch and post workout leaving you evening meal lean meat, veggie, salad.

got it, and that about fits me to a tee. most of my activity is during the day up until i get home around 5:30, and then i roll to the gym around 6 or so. Even with keeping the meals clean and healthy, is it possible to eat too much?

Yes you can still eat more calories than you need even if its clean and healthy. If you are maintaining your weight and fat% then you need to adjust your cals or your physical activity.
What are your workouts like? Weight training and cardio?
