Muscle Memory- how good is it?

Hey Bros

I have been out of the gym for 8 months. Did a contest in April, after the show had severe tendinidis in my elbows so bad I coudl not grip my cup to drink. Took soem time off then, came new job then some personal crap, anyway I am at my fattest and lightest I have been in years.

I strarted working out this past tuesday. Workouts have been light and quick. How soon to my muscle remember to grow back to where they came from?

Anyone else taek a long time off and what where your results!!

Feels good to be back in the saddle - doesn't it? Since you've done it before, at the highest level, it won't be a problem at all. Just do what you know it's gonna take: eat correctly, workout regularly, get plenty of rest, and a little "aid" doesn't hurt (like my sig states)! :D

I took half of 2000 and ALL of 2001 off. I lost 40lbs of muscle and then put on 20lbs of fat. By the end of Feb. of this year I had put on 30lbs, but still had that 20lbs of fat. I then farted around until Oct. when I decided to get serious. Hope this helps some.
 
You always hear how some of the pros take months off from the gym. Msmuscle took two months off from the gym other than cardio and lost a decent amount of muscle. She was burnt out an needed a break. However, within about six weeks she's regained it back and then some.LOL I was amazed on how fast she regained it back.
