I've been training under the tutelage of two different and HIGHLY skilled firearms instructors (both are former classified operators with multiple classified deployments) for 19 years now. One instructor for sidearm TTPs and one for long gun marksmanship TTPs and it absolutely amazing.
To reciprocate your candid confession, I have had ONE accidental discharge back in 2015 with my HK40 sidearm. I was being stupid and overconfident in my ability to manipulate the sidearm w/o even thinking about it and "BANG"! Thankfully, I followed the other standard practices when handling a firearm (ex: taking apart, cleaning, dry firing, and such) and was in my basement which is essentially a bunker. The accidentally discharged round struck the baseboard of the wall across the room a few feet from my 50" flat screen TV and a glass table. Never again!

Any books, podcast etc that helped you nail down the art of meditation.Same shit with me, but let me tell you what completely changed my life in that aspect... Meditation. 10 minutes a day (I do miss days though, especially on weekends).
I've been fairly consistent with it for the last couple of years. It gives me the ability to recognize when I'm having an useless daydream argument and pop out of it. Sometimes I still give in and let myself get carried away, but in general I'm more in control now.
I just signed up for the Calm app service. Headspace is supposed to be similar. But there are free guided meditations out there, I'm sure.Any books, podcast etc that helped you nail down the art of meditation.
