Hello laides, my wife is trying to get into better shape and while I have extensive knowledge of workouts and AAS, my knowledge is mainly geared towards that of the male species, lol. She is also interested in the posibility of AAS and their benefits, mainly for fat burning. She is 41 years old and had a full hystorectomy about 5 years ago. Since her surgery she has had a very difficult time in maintaing her weight. Thank you all in advance for your help!!!

Have her get blood work done to see if her hormones are within or below normal range. If she needs supplementation, her doctor can prescribe it.

After her levels are normalized, diet, cardio, and resistance training will be all she needs. Everyone has their own opinion on this, but drugs are only necessary for creating an extreme condition (leading up to a contest) for a very brief amount of time. And should only be used after doing a lot of research and soul searching (to commit to taking the risks involved).

If you search this female forum, you will notice that this advice is consistently given. Encourage her to get online herself to read and ask questions. If she doesn't have the motivation to do that much, will she have the discipline to create and maintain a lifestyle that supports the physique she wishes to create? This is written to you with sincere concern for the well being of your wife. Health is the priority.

Ditto about her blood work. If she had a full hysterectomy then she must be on some sort of hormone replacement and that will contradict AAS as they are derivatives of male hormones. Also AAS are not fat burners, buy fat burners if that's what she wants.

Just to add to what the girls have said. Female endocrinology is a mine field. Historectomy or not it is a mine field. Their systems are so finely balanced and this is what makes playing with hormones so difficult. I am one that does believe in trt for women but there are some extreme guidlines for this. A specilaist in the field of test therapy for women is what you want. Please do not play around with this on your own. As you mentioned when dealing with male physiology it is a lot easier to say 100mg of test will do this much. But in females 25mg of test may have bad sides. You just don't know. Try to find a doctor that is sympathetic to female endocrinology and work with them on it. Just my .02!

Thank you all for your input, it's much appreciated. She just gets very frustraded because she works out very hard and she witnesses my gains from AAS and was considering it. She recently went back to the obgyn, which by the way was a different obgyn that did her surgery, he had a totally different perspective about hrt and am happy to say that she is back on hrt. She feels much better with alot more energy. Will let all of you know how things work out. Again, thanks for all of your advice!!! It's much appreciated.
