anyone want to call bullshit on this picture, I found it when going thorugh some old things on the computer. I dont know about you guys, but I have reused the same needle in the past sometimes just when i need to orally administrate something that has to be measured, like leterozole I just keep the same needle for it, and it sometimes pokes that septum 50 times or so and does NOT look like this, what do u guys think.

I believe that picture is from under a microscope..I think it would look much different to the human eye..

At all, I have seen and felt the difference, even used a dart, then looked REALLY close at it, and sure enough, I saw the tip bent.

I remember when IVAn first stuck me he was so excited I had moved to the dark side that he forgot to trade the draw needle for the fresh one...

well it took a hard push to break the skin. Then I asked if he switched out the needle...of course a SHIT came to his mouth and then he said sorry. But hey I could tel the difference from just one draw with a draw needle. hte fresh one goes in smoother.

So yeah I think most of that is true if you look at it under a scope

Doesn't suprise me at all. I have abuddy that was in the marines and he said at the time they didn't have alot of access to needles and couldn't hide an over abundance of them. So he used the same one so often that it was so bad that it actually pulled alittle of the muscle back out when he tried to remove it. This is one of the most trust worthy people that I know.

Having said that - those pictures are very nonspecific.

I.e. what kind of needle and used six times for what?

Is it a 25 gauge gear needle used in the butt six times of a little insulin needle used to puncture a tire six times?

I'm with C_horse on that one. I was gonna make a comment about that very same thing. Either way... I don't stick myself with the same pin more than I have to. If I stick myself twice and can't get the pin all the way in (too close to a nerve or cuz of veins or something) then I just pull the fucker off and threw a new one on there before trying again. If I stick myself more than once with the same pin I can definitely tell the difference on subsequent tries.

I've seen these pics before. I'm assuming they poked something similar to us humans. I believe that poking through a septum dulls a pin much more than through skin/muscle.

What really bothers me on the last/6-time one is the discoloration. Is that just what was injected or blood on the pin or particles of pin falling off from stress of being bent!?!?

I've jabbed myself up to 6 times with the same pin trying to find a spot on my quads. I inspected the pin for a while after the last one finally... and it didn't look nearly that bad. The end was rounded, but bent backwards like that. I tend to think that injection procedure has alot to do with it. You go in at the wrong angle and that point is gone.
