Mid 40’s Veteran that has spent the last 3 years in and out of the hospital. I’ve had two lumbar fusion and a cervical fusion and most recently had to have a rod with 28 screws put in the ole clavicle. Looking forward to getting back into shape and seeing how far I can come back. Got a long road ahead and would love to hear from others that have come back from the same or similar situation. Glad to be here.

Much appreciated Elvia 1023. Just a little background, used gear for multiple years in my 20’s and early 30’s. Never got over 237 at 6’2” and fairly lean. Nothing like some of you Monsters on here. But now I am down to 185 and would like to get back to 215-225. I don’t do drugs, don’t drink alcohol but I do love me some nicotine. I eat clean, no sugar and only drink water and coffee. Look forward to learning more about all the new tips and tricks.

Good luck on your new endeavor! It’s going to hard but stick it out. Muscle memory is real and you’ll be back on top in no time. Patience is key here, and don’t over do it. Learn to listen to your body.

I’ll just relay the advice that I try and reinforce for myself:

Stay active on this forum. Maintain the activity and post in the threads whether you are slaughtering the weights in the gym or you’re dealing with ailments that make it hard to get out of the bed.

There are some real good people here. Staying in touch with the guys and helping newcomers make a huge impact.
